Guest antic Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Ok, this is not a record amount or anything - it's not even psy-related... But a couple of days ago, some American collector contacted me thru Discogs and offered me $50 for this: http://www.discogs.com/release/495362 I have no idea where I got it from and I don't think I've ever played it... So I accepted and he immideately wired the money to my Paypal. Pretty good deal! /DP 614049 In Vinnie "Bulet-tooth Tony" Jones' voice: YOU LUCKY BASTARD! Quote
ukiro Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 The Jam & Spoon mix isn't all that easy to find on CD, so a digital-only Jam & Spoon collector would probably fit the bill, but still... 50? wow. Quote
abasio Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 http://www.amazon.com/God-Juno-Reactor/dp/...ie=UTF8&s=music 400$ for a CD single. ORLY? 613246 Priced so someone will go "wow!! This must be really rare, I must buy it" Some chump will buy it sooner or later. More money than sense Quote
Guest antic Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 that just beats everything: http://www.discogs.com/sell/list?release_id=33088 it's draeke, so it's probably a joke, but who knows - maybe someone will buy it? Quote

abasio Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 I remember hearing that some English guy sold a Texan, London Bridge. The Texan thought he was getting the famous Tower Bridge in London but in fact paid millions of dollars for some tiny little bridge somewhere in the mid west. The truth is, some idiots will buy anything. I'm sure if draeke priced it at 999 euros some idiot would buy it! Quote

Colin OOOD Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 http://cgi.ebay.com/O-O-O-D-Breathing-Spac...3QQcmdZViewItem I just saw this myself, it's incredible - that's more than we earned from sales of the album in the first place! I've asked him if he'll be paying us a royalty. Quote
Guest antic Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 I just saw this myself, it's incredible - that's more than we earned from sales of the album in the first place! I've asked him if he'll be paying us a royalty. Should he? I mean, for all we know, he's got the CD from a legitimate source like a record-shop, so at some point in time the CD was bought from the distributor at its retail price and you got your cut off it (I hope). After that, the CD is the buyer's property and he can sell it for whatever price someone is willing to pay him. If anything, he should probably pay some income tax... Of course Colin, I think that you - or any other artist that has his CDs sold at eBay for crazy prices - should receive their share, but at the moment I don't think it's legally justified. Or is it? Time_Trap Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 maybe this is not the most appropriate thread, but what would be a kind of reasonable price for Black Rhino compilation.. ? Quote
Oopie Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 maybe this is not the most appropriate thread, but what would be a kind of reasonable price for Black Rhino compilation.. ?yo, I guess that'd go for 30-40. personally I wouldn't pay more. but then again FR stuff can go for more too Quote
