Why do I keep buying Spirit Zone releases?

GMS is all washed up. In my opinion they are not @ the level of their early work. Seems like ever since Sebi and Yakov Biton left the band, Riktam and Banzi were not able to consistently provide quality. Yeah here and there they would produce something interesting but mostly it was repeating same stuff over and over and every sequel would be more washed up...

Their best album is their first one-Chaos Laboratory, and yeah the second one was interesting but after that it was all downhill and with exception of few tracks I didn't think they were that great.

As for Shiva Chandra I like his ambient but that minimal/prog/ whatever noooo way I would spend money on that....

I'm sure there are many people that will disagree but hey that's just my opinion.

I can only say:

upcoming ELEMENT......my alltime favourite.....

Fünf D - No Promises ...... aahhhhhlove it

Ooze..... where the fields... nnnniiiiiccccceee

Electric Universe...... YYYEEEAAAHHHH

Whatever you guys say, I still love nearly every realease from them.... DJ Sangeet kind of didn't do it for me this time, and the old Noosphere release was actually better than the new one, but still.... Keep on going Spirit Zone :-]

Sola Sonorum is back to form for SZ... they've got one of the busiest schedules of all the labels out there, so I guess there's bound to be duff moments now and then

Spirit Zone releases everything from electric universe to spirallianz - it's a very diverse label and thus it's not likely that you'll enjoy all their releases.

I've found myself bying quite a few SZ singels lately, like the latest from Ololiuqui, Element and Fünf D. I like the clubby sound and these have all been awesome releases that just ooze of quality.

Meanwhile they've put out the excellent silver edition series by spirallianz and some fairly full-on stuff for those of you who are still into GMS and the likes.

I would certainly not call SZ a sellout label; They are exploring lots of directions and doing it well. That along with a very impressive release schedule help this scene progress into new areas. Labels like 3D Vision on the other hand, symbolize stagnation to me.

and no, I don't work for spirit zone :-)
