Guest firgo
i read the topic about the best selling psy trance albums-compilations and i have to add something...... 1.for me 500.000 is a lot!!!its hell alot dudes!!!!!even 100.000 is alot...for me,dont know for you..... 2.that number isnt real at all.....500.000 copies, you surely mean originals??? but, there are much more cds that are sold as pirate cds....i think that the number of pirate cds that are sold is even bigger than 500.000 for that compilation.not preatty sure about that.....what do you think????? Guest --==MiLeS==--
You probably have no clue why the album sold that many... PAUL OAKENFOLD! : Voyage Into Trance... Now does that ring a bell...The world most famous DJs name was on the cover and it was released during a time that the USA was massively discovering Trance...The album was no.1 in all dance charts there and also made it into the top 10 of best selling albums overall...and the number is for worldwide...not USA only... Guest --==MiLeS==--
Well, you say the number ain't real...I say it is because ppl were buying it -en-masse- because of the DJ God 'Oakenfold' tag. Shango has also been released TWICE. First time by blueroom and second time by Metropolis (USA). Most psytrance isn't even released in the US although lately Shpongle's 'Tales..' and 'BPEmpire' also got USA distribution. Besides, Juno had an impressive live act and were playing for thousands of people because they did support Moby. That album also made it quite high into the dance charts and yes then sales go up rather quickly, especially in the USA. I think 90% of the buyers of that one doesn't have a clue about Psy. Next release of Juno is a best-of album btw.
