Jikkenteki
well labels keep the rights to tracks for something like 5 years only, isn't it? so... i honestly don't know much about his music (please don't stone me to death), but there is a fair chance the copyright might have been handed back to him (if such label even exists today). 520829 Its case by case regarding how long the label keeps the rights. I've seen 5, I've seen 10, I've seen forever. When a label closes shop the rights usual revert to the artist. The bulk of Cosmosis' tracks were on Transient and I seem to recall them closing their doors awhile back (although it looks like they are back). That said, the psy-trance world is a very small world and getting the rights to reprint something probably isn't really a huge issue most of the time. But of course it is case by case
Frontier Psychiatrist
Even if the tracks are very good and the melodies top quality i´am wondering why he use vst instead of realsynths, someone who is known with such things instandly recognise that he use vst and it sounds worse than realsynths. 520343 You are so clueless man. Guest antic
You are so clueless man. Grow up. 521301 does it mean "yes, re-release those tracks!" or "no, don't you dare!"?!
Frontier Psychiatrist
does it mean "yes, re-release those tracks!" or "no, don't you dare!"?! 521307 Nope it meant: Radi you don't have a clue about software vs hardware issue so don't talk rubbish. radi6404
You are so clueless man. Grow up. 521301 What the fuck goes up with you you sucker, why i´am closemindet, i have very expensive software synthesizers and very expensive mastering efects so i have a clue about this and aktually software sound worse than hardware, especially the synths like albino and so on like cosmosis used in his tracks, you can´t compare the thin bad sound of albino to some awesome old hardware synth, the hardwaresynths sound like instruments compared to the software synths that sound like some computerbeepers that beep when you turn the computer on or when there is an ram error or such things. I listened to many computersynths and emulating synths but never listened to a synth that has the quality of hardware snythesizers, it´s a complet different more alive sound, the onliest synth that they managed to recreate almost like the original is the devilfish tb303, it´s called phoszyon. faze
Radi man, maybe it's time to consider that you are not always right? Even on other boards, you get the same responses, yet you always think everyone else but you has the problem. Oopie
blaa 521368 dude, MFG nor Astral Projection don't come even close to Cosmosis' talent. End of story. It's alright you like 'simpliest' music than Cosmosis but to say it sounds bad? That's like saying Simon isn't a god. i.e. blasphemy

Eg. butterfly trip is very simple track which certainly doesn't bring out any boundaries of synths. Instead in Cosmosis' case... he really takes everything out of the software he uses. He has sound no-one could ever copy. Crispy, funky, acidic... 'Spores from Space?' is in my all-time top 5 tracks

("astral projection"-sound can be heard everywhere really. the melodiis might not be as good but sounds are close, there's absolutely fucking none to come close of Bilbo Backbags uniqueness)

Bagginz
this is completely useless, unless he has the money to release it himself... the rights are probably in hads of certain labels, so it's up to them to decide to release (re-release) it. 520825 Really? I understand the point that you are trying to make, but you speak as if you know the facts. You don't. Cheers, Bill

I can't speak for him but I reckon if you really want the answers to your questions you should STFU with the backchat and assumptions. It's natural part of human behaviour. Assumptions are there to be corrected and I can't see a post in this thread that you should get upset about.
