1) How and when did you start to make Goa ?

I started making Trance music in 1996. My first official track was a collaboration with synchro under the name Kailum (this name was later adopted by my first musical partner - Dave Saragosi) and soon after I started a "solo" direction as Xerox.

2) Do you project to release a new Xerox album ? Or a new Xerox & Freeman one ? When would you release it ?

Yes, both albums are "in the works" and will be released during 2001(in no special order).

3) Which of your own tracks (or in collaboration with another artist) do you like the best ?

Maskalin - " Alien Funk " Xerox & Freeman - " Human Race " Xerox & Freeman - " Karina "(Rmx) Xerox & P.cok - " Mascok " Xerox - " Tune In "

4) Your favourite psychedelic Groups & Albums ?

On the Israeli front I like Sandman, Infected Mushroom, Freeman and BLT. I also admire the international success of Astral Projection along the years. As for foreign music, I "worship" Juno Reactor and almost all U.K releases. Favorite albums...* Chakra & Edi Mis - The Promised Land * * Transwave - Phototropic * * Juno Reactor - Bible Of Dreams * * Eat Static - Crash & Burn * * Xerox & Freeman - Human Race "

5) Where does your inspiration come from ?

I listen to a lot of trance music but I try not to be influenced by anyone in particular. My roots are in Funky, Black music and I am a slave to "Rhythm & Groove ".

6) What kind of equipment do you use to make your Tracks ?

My studio is also the HOMmega studio so it's actually 2 studios. One is used for producing young talented artists and the other is for the "Xerox Project". The studio is highly equipped with a strong and advanced PC computer built especially for music productions and contains a big amount of memory and processors. "Noise System" includes Waldorf XT, Virus, Freebase, 2 Samplers(Akai & EMU), Novation and more... Sound is monitored by Event monitors and finally mixed down to a Mackie 24/8 mixer. I also use some Audio programs & effects in some of my tracks.

7) Future projects ?

Aside for a lot of tracks I will release on forth coming compilations(Return To The Source, Full On 5,...) I hope to manage and finish the debut album of my project - Maskalin which is a collaboration with the very talented Izik Benisty(a.k.a Cosmic Navigators). I also plan to make a few remixes for some great trance hits from the past.

8) Is there any artist you'd like to work with ?

I like to work with others and this is why many of my tracks are collaborations. I would love to do a track with Etnica or Chakra.

9) What kind of stuff do you play as DJ in parties ?

I like all kinds of electronic music. I guess you can say I play a bit of everything. From "Full On" Israeli trance through English Psy-Trance to hard & minimalistic Swedish/German stuff. I just finished compiling a CD with most of it's tracks taken from my recent DJ sets("In My Brain").

10) When & where was your best party ? And your worst one ?

My worst party was in Greece(1998). There was non-stop rain, lousy sound system, not so many people and we were not treated properly at all . My best parties have been in Switzerland(the people there just cant get enough of Trance) and in New York With Green Nuns Of The Revolution(1999).

11) Would you like to give any special message to everyone reading this?

Give Trance A Chance ! Respect the older & younger artists ! Be Objective ! And most important...KEEP YOUR FAITH in trance music.

12) What do you think about the evolution of psytrance in the last years (in Israel as well as in Europe). Have things gotten better/worse according to you?

Well, you could say that the evolution of psy-trance has gotten to a point where the Technical Quality of today's productions is much more professional. What I feel is missing is more musical influences in the making of the music. Some of the tracks I hear today are just made for vinyl mixing and don't lead you anywhere as a full story. Something is missing! Bring back the music

13) Thanks a lot & good luck for your next albums ;-)
