Insejn
Artist: Logic Bomb Date: 06-16-00 By: Anoebis Q: Hi Logic Bomb and thanks for doing the interview!! First question... How, Why & When did you start with producing music? A: Well, we've been making music for as long as we can remember. We first started making music on our homecomputers (Amiga) with trackers (NoiseTracker, Fasttracker etc). In the begining (late 80ies) the music was more of electronic demo music. In 1996 we first visited a trance event in Örebro/Sweden and we got hooked by it all. We started experimenting with our computers but it all took off when we with Dennis Tapper formed "Hux Flux" (around 97/98) and bought alot of studio equipment. Q: Logic Bomb is one of the leading Progressive Psychedelic Trance-groups... Why do you make this music? A: Thanks, We love parties and we try to make the music we want to hear on the dance floor. We listen to alot of different styles of music and we think the psychedelic music is the most interesting one of them all. Q: What do you think of the more melodic (old school) Goa-Trance? A: We think of our music to be kind of melodic, altough we try to make it more experiMental. More of rythmic drumbeats and soundeffects instead of just fluffy/cheesy melodies. We try to combine it all. Q: How do you think that Psychedelic Trance will evoluate in the future? A: More progressive or something, who knows? Q: What are your favorite Goa Group, Album, Top 5 Goa Tracks? A: To mention a few in no particular order: Groups: Orichalcum, Koxbox/Saikopod, GMS, Hallucinogen, X-Dream. Albums: The Great Unknown/Koxbox Tracks: Dawn of Epsilon (Orichalcum), Digital Self (GMS), Friagram(Saikopod),Panic in Paradise(X-Dream), North by North West 6 (BUS) Q: What is your favorite track made by Logic Bomb?? A: Always the latest production. If we must mention one it's either the "Major Problem in Australia" Logic Bomb remix or "Herr Übermann". Q: What do you think of the Goa-scene at the moment? A: Well, definatly not dead as some seems to believe. It's nice to see that even the US seems to have a good scene. Q: Where do you get your inspiration? A: From other music, parties, friends, everything..... Q: What kind of equipment do you use? A: We use alot of equipment. Because of our background as computer-freaks we mainly use our computer with 18-track soundcard to play around with the sounds. We also have a mixingtable and some synths. You can read more about it on our homepage (logicbomb.tripod.com). Q: What are your future projects? Will you release an album soon or do we still have to wait...? A: The debut album will be out on Spiral Trax late June and the title is set to "Headware". We'll probably be making a new remix for Koxbox, but the main focus right now is to compile a kick-ass Live set and make live perfomances around the world.
