Morning "goa trance" is a very wide definition:

01. Usual slower than night-time music (around 120 - 140 bpm)

02. Tribal rythms

03. Ethnic samples, voices

04. Ethnic melodies and instruments

05. Melodic sequences (melodies)

06. Beautiful atmospheres (chords, samples ect.)

07. Animal sounds, nature influences

08. Melodic basslines

09. Reference samples and track titles to India and other exotic places.

And so much more.......

Well, I think the best time for full on in from like 4/5 am to 7 am, then an 1 or so with morning trance and then back to full on. This is based in the portuguese scene, parties go usually from 00:00 to 15:00 of the next day.

In Boom they were playing the full on trance during the morning, from like 8/9 am till the sound finishes around 5 pm.

AMP that's in my opinion a toally wrong way of throwing a party.

I can only speak out of experience as a long time "outdoor" morning DJ/producer and the crowds I have seen over the last 8 years and one thing that striked me the most is that if a party is done the "right" way people will stay longer and enjoy themselves much more and gain energy from the sun and the slower but very trippy, rythmic and organic morning music.

To play full on all the way through a party (only playing one hour of morning music) and then start all over with full on in the morning is in my opinion only done because the organisers and DJ's know s*** about what people want and like. Unfortinently too many organisers and DJ's play it safe and think they know what people want. In the long run people get used to not listening to original morning music and think that a party should be like this. If you take a chance and educate them you will find that many many people react in a positive way :-)

Sorry to be so harsh but if this is the situation in Portugal (which I know isen't true) then portyugese organisers sand party goers hould be "educated" better.

Well, this is the way things go here, and people seem to enjoy it really well.

Parties start around 00:00, going more with minimal/progressive trance until like 4 am, starting to go full on from there on until the sun starts.

As the day comes, the melodic morning trance starts getting in, yeah, maybe for more than 1 hour (that is indeed to little), but after the day as fully rised it goes back to full on. By full on I dont mean the trance massacre that is around sometimes, but cool stuff like Absolum, GMS, Zorba, Skazi, Altom, Talamasca, stuff like that.
