Guest Gorgonator
Another great british label bites the dust. Its a real shame that on the eve of the new Bamboo Forest album release they go into liquidation. The weird thing is how come the album is reviewed on this site complete with an artwork scan when the release as far as I am aware is indefinately on hold. Can someone please enlighten me as to when we may see this album released in view of whats happened to Flying Rhino Peace !!
Guest --==1400MiLeS==--
Well if the one that handles the liquidation thinks its still viable to release to get some cash in...it will be released... Sad news...although it isn't really surprising seeing how they lost the plot...I thought FR releases were quite popular with the fashionable UK hardhouse crowds? Bye bye Blueroom Bye bye Flying Rhino

Guest Will
Strange news, anyone got more info on this? are they going to start up a new label? Any artists owed money? FR have a lot of releases, some of which are classics, I guess some rights will be bought by other labels....
Guest Nisse
I spoke to James Monroe a few days ago.... FR is bankrupt.... no more FR! Sorry all FR fans but it's the truth!
Guest Elysium Project
When a label goes bankrupt all the rights are returned to the individual artists. Then it's up to them to "re-release" their material with whatever label that want to release it.
Guest Elysium Project
Anyway I will call the guys to get this "story" verified before I take any notice of it. Keep in mind that none of the artists have recieved any notice about it as they are intitled to when a label goes under.

Guest russ
I also talked to James Monro a few days ago (at the Samothraki festival) and he gave me the sad news that Flying Rhino is finished, as of the past few weeks. On paper he said they looked fine, but the problem is they were owed loads of money from 4 separate distributors/labels who went under/did not pay, and that was the end of the story. They did lose the plot a little towards the end, but it's still very sad that a bunch of screw-ups around the world (like mdma in israel) failed to keep their commitments, thereby killing off the flying rhino. Here's to the Rhino in the sky!! BTW, James played a killer set at Samothraki, one from the heart.
