It's 1am here & it's dark outside. There is nothing evil or scary about it but it does seem to have a melancholic edge to it. It's probably the constant rain!

Ahahah ! Are you serious or ironic ? Can't feel what is it, but in any case, it doesn't need to be classified as DARK FUCKING TRANCE to be dark, FFS ! I say Delta - Scizzoeffective creates very dark, gloomy atmospheres and hence is considered as DARK TRANCE ALBUM.

 

I can see your logic about dark music being sad or melancholic but I also find primal, noisy melodic albums very dark and I also can't find myself arguing what is darkness and what is not, I made a poll out of old school fun, nothing mroe, few people took it too seriously.

I find many things can create a dark atmosphere but I have not been impressed with the atmospheres from most dark psy!

yeah that's what's dark, what creates a dark atmosphere..! I think it's trivial to argue further on what's dark and what's light or not , as it's also subjective..

I mean, Schlab 02 was said to be 'morning music' by the schlab guys hehe

Send In... Send Back is more techno, IMO too techno (in the sense of repetitiveness) at times and the tracks often have fewer layers. I find Scizoeffective better.

A track doesn't have to make you shit in your pants to be dark. MOS' Drive is a good example of lighter dark trance.
