lokus
From the remote recesses of Warlock Studio at the heart of the global underground, London's renowned Ambivalent Records label comes the widely anticipated fourth compilation Further Ambivalent Tendencies featuring 9 killer dance floor anthems that guarantee to reach places other compilations fail to go. This album has been compiled with expert precision by Deviant Species, NRS and Scorb and tested relentlessly the world over by DJ Yod. Further Ambivalent Tendencies is a chemically enhanced selection of some of the worlds freshest and finest electronic music. Consolidating the brilliance of this label with its distinctive sleek & hard-pounding psychedelic sound, this album provides the underground with a new benchmark in style and quality. Featuring established artists globally known for their floor-rocking live sets: Scorb, RAM, NRS, Deviant Species and the infamous Serious Porn Collector, it also showcases Squid Inc and Orzels Machine. Overseen by Scorb, the production is immaculately clean and powerful from start to finish ensuring this release will rank among the best of the year. F.A.T. Nuff said Tracklist: 01 Serious Porn Collector - "Bloodlines" Opening proceedings is the now globally renowned SPC. This really is amongst his best work, beautiful pads, breathy fx and a really distinctive bottom end!! "Law Makers, Law Breakers, Let's Fight them All" 02 Squid Inc. - "Tilt" Squid Inc make their Ambivalent debut with this full power Morning Smasher. A new side project of ambivalents own Jax and Yod, this track will be pounded all summer. When those synths drop watch the crowd! 03 Scorb - Rave from the Grave (Squid Inc Rmx Version II) An updated version of the track that featured on the coverdisc of the current Revolve magazine. Squid Inc. give this scary scorb outing the dark, minimal progressive treatment they do so well. Dark storytelling indeed! 04 Deviant Species vs Scorb - "Jack the Kipper" We now up the tempo. Play with caution, this track is menacing and dripping with dark psychedelic touches that will have any dancefloor screaming for more. Look out for those bone crunching fx at the end! 05 NRS vs Far East Ghost - "Knocked out Goner" A great rolling techno track with amazing surges, bizzarre twisted leads and "out there" fx, this track will find a place in many a DJ set this season. Pure class. Check out the free Manga video that accompanies this track: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...46310287429784 06 Scorb - "Resonant Evil" Dark Dark Dark! this has an eerie beauty all of it's own, seriously psychedelic techno that builds and builds to take you into new sonic realms. A treat for those anticipating the new album: "IPSO FVCTO" 07 Deviant Species - "Iophant" The Deviant one returns with an exquisitely produced soundscape that will completely immerse you. Great sounds, crisp percussion and unique touches that will shine on any rig. A likely candidate for best intro of the year award 2006! 08 RAM - "(Theme from) Cole's Law" - DJ Yod Rmx This Ram track is a groovy and driving affair that belies it's fast tempo. The progression is impeccably well timed and DJ Yod trips you out before slamming you into a furiously building finale. Not one to miss, this one will be caned at all the festivals this year. 09 Orzels machine - "Centrifuge" Orzel's Machine are Mike Rucinski (Numbworx) and Ady Connor (Scorb). On this outing for ambivalent they have extended one of their blissed out dubtech tracks into a full spinetingling trance odyssey. This track is as phat as they come, techno for breakfast anyone?
