Guest hippy
What program do you use to download(evaluate) psy trance mp3s? - Is there anything better than soulseek?? Cheers
Guest K
DC++. Make a search in the Off Topic section for details. Avoid posting about mp3s in the general section, thx.
Guest Protex Midget
"evaluate"? I see... you download mp3's just for evaluation, and then you go to the store and buy the music... right? fuck off
Naiman
fuck off the people who tell mp3 downloaders to fuck off.
Järsimähäiriö
Naah, MP3-wanks can pretty much get the fuck off the general forum. Trust me on this one. There's plenty o' garbage on the off-topic, you'll blend right in.
Guest bugbread
Protex: Yes, download, listen, evaluate, buy. Is there a particular reason you're telling a person who wants to buy psy CDs to fuck off? Seems pretty harsh thing to say to a person willing to support the scene. Guest Protex Midget
Bugbread> that's bullshit... people don't download mp3's in order to evaluate the music. they download mp3's because they don't wanna spend cash on original cd's. If you wanna evaluate music, go to psyshop or Saikosounds, and listen to the previews. This dude has no intention on supporting the scene - he's just talking bullshit, so don't be nieve... Anyway, the general forum is not intended to be a "traders" forum, so to all you "psy-thiefs", please do your shitty buisness elswhere
Guest Mijis
i support the idea to dl and then evaluate the music then buying the cd , its fair. BTW : prices should be dropped a little
Guest Mindtwister
I don't download much mp3's, but when I do it, it'äs because sometimes the samples don't give you a whole perspective of the track... But i stopped downloading after Audiogalaxys dead. btw I got 3 tracks on my computer that I haven't on orginal CD...! //Mindtwister
Guest Protex Midget
Mijis> I agree that prices should be dropped, but until that happens, i still think the whole mp3 piracey thing sux... but weve had this discution 50 million times, and i think we can stop arguing. If you wanna download, then do so - and if you wanna actually support the scene, then buy music... that's it I hope that this is the last post in this thread
Guest bugbread
Agreed, the argument should end, but just for reference: people don't download mp3's in order to evaluate the music. I do. I think you mean "most people", not just "people". Be not so quick to judge, my friend, lest you be judged in the same way.
Guest Protex Midget
"Most People" I stand corrected
Guest Elysium Project
I agree that the "argument" should end but not the discussion. We really need a attitude change toward stealing music (not previewing) and if i can be part of changing just one persons way of thinking then it's been woth all the trouble. So I will never stop the discussion as long as so many people think it's ok to steal.

Guest >>>flo3>>&
i think the solution is coming automatically: groups should put more 'disturbs' in ALL the tunes like they already do with some, if they put one little 'scratch' like at 3', 5', 7' djs won't be able to use it but you can have a complete preview...and if u wanna make your friend listen to it without they laugh at you you'll buy the original...that could be a fair solution that can give a preview to ppl that cant acces shops not endangering labels and artists (but they will always give promos to djs to test on floor...its their job to give those to trusty ppl!) what you think on this? Basilisk
i havent bought any new records in a couple of months, for the first time in a LONG time... why is that, you ask? because audiogalaxy went down and then dc++ went private. funny, isn't it. i'd never say everyone supports the try-before-you-buy philosophy but i sure do. Guest bugbread
I think Flo3 is right on the money. Complete tracks, with a little voiceover (You're listening to Music Preview!) every once in a while. It allows everyone to sample an entire song, and still makes people go out and buy the album. Put enough of them out on the P2P network and it will be such a pain in the butt to find REAL tracks that people will start using P2P networks for actual previewing. Basilisk
yep! totally true if the labels release the songs to mp3 first, they get to choose the ID3 tag and everything. advertise with mp3s, why not?
Guest 1
Protex i'm one of those people whom downloads mp3's and then buys the CD, i love having the CD, the artwork the track listing the incover. I guess i'm a collector
