Guest The Journey Man Project
Now I'm a bit over playing with psy trance... and I've fallen in love with making drum n bass, especially really hard stuff along the line of Evol Intent ( http://www.discogs.com/artist/Evol+Intent ), SPOR ( http://www.discogs.com/artist/Spor ) and Ewun ( http://www.discogs.com/artist/Ewun )... was wondering if anybody has ever trie dproducing drum n bass, or know of aybody, who can give me some basic tips on loops and forming really heavy sub bass sounds... the ones that make the ground shake... cheers Edited June 27, 2006 by The Journey Man
phobium
The trick about bass is using several synths and samples, and not just one as most psy tracks do. Also be creative with filters and distortion.

Aeros
Layering your bass is the trick. If you just want to deepen what you already have, try layering a sine over it. If you want it deeper, lower the notes 1 octave on the sine synth. Its not too hard to mix and match. As for your drum loops, maybe this is obvious but you'll fall in love with your beat slicer once you start slicing some percussion loops.
