Gutty Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 It's so funny the way people describe music. My one friend uses words like "soundy" and "uppy" when describing trance. Like i'd play him a killer tune and he'd say "no way it's too uppy" at least he doesn't say too "whiiiiii" ... Quote
healium Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Ok I'll probably have to listen the actual album and not just samples... That really sterile, monotonous, sound-effect based trance isn't any more creative than the standard melodic catchy stuff though - both styles sound really generic... Quote

And BTW the samples at saikosound are long but they lack quality Quote
healium Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 I might have to do that - the first time I heard both Hux Flux - "Cryptic Crunch" and X-Dream - "Radio" I thought those albums were rather bad - just sound effects and whatnot... Now they're just about my two favorites... Stuff like Infected Mushroom though grabbed me right away... Is there melody in this Quasar album? Quote
RAH Posted October 25, 2006 Author Posted October 25, 2006 no there's not a lot of 'melodic' content in One Day but you might might find some along the way (glum leaper, *hint*, *hint*) Quote
DeathPosture Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I'm still totally tripping out to this one... What amazes me, is that it keeps growing on me - more so than usually with this kind of trance. Quote
Jeller Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 yeah i got this album pretty long now, but last month I listened to it on acid and then i realised that this album was more than amazing damn this music is the most psychedelic i've heard i think Quote
alleycat Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 ^^^ I first heard Quasar, with Dylalien playing a Fractal COwboys set, while tripping harder than Ive ever tripped on acid! And knew right then and there that those guys know how to make some PSY-CHE-DELIC stuff! I was literally pinned to the ground in my tent, unable to move due to the sheer magnitude of insanity they were pumping out! And I lucked out, my tent was right in line with the stage monitors! Great release, need to give it another listen sometime real soon! Take more... Quote
AlieNed Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 a sleeve idea is great ! i like his story bout the aliens having problems with disc recovery Quote
kazuku Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 One of the very best releases 2006! I still dig it out very often Quote
Drosophila Posted June 16, 2007 Posted June 16, 2007 in fact this is the best 2006 release Yes :wank: Quote
Jeller Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Yes :wank:Is he making any new tracks/album? because I am waiting for ages for another track like Maximum Overdrive I remember some Va from Alien Mental his label, but I don't think it is out already Quote
