Ormion
Saikopod was interesting, and their THE GREAT UNKNOWN album... 598706[/snapback] Of course Great Unknown was great, but it was released before 2000, right? Anyway I mean tracks like Crunchy Moles. Booring IMO.

D3lirious
I think Koxbox/Saikopod are one of the greatest artists the scene has had and I really treasure their early work. Their last gig here in Helsinki wasn´t that good compared to the earlier ones I´ve been to... But I still hope that their new album is going to be something I like. emmmgeee
Great News, and IMNSHO they are the kings, Psychopod Headlines EP & The Great Unknown album - beats Posford hands down. Although, Everything after this has been sub par and a bit dated. Hopefully it is as trippy as fuck, and has weird time signatures throughout it ala Lunar Bin and Great Unknown. Just as long as it doesn't sound like Saikopod...

Btw, the second track could be translated to Koxbox vs Transwave, it's hard not to get excited about such a combo.
sidetrakkt
Do you know if track 1 ("Crazy") is the same version of "Go Crazy" on the Chemical Playground comp, or if it is a remix? Thanks! Spiritual Carnage
It's always hard to know what to expect from Koxbox. They have probably been the most unpredictlible artist, as all their releases (incl. Psychopod) have been very different in sound and style from their earlier releases as from anything else.. The only thing I didn't like was Phutures and options - all other is genius...
traveller
What's the big deal with the Great Unknown.. I really try to like this album, but there's no soul. It's very generic somehow
Zeyon
"Btw, the second track could be translated to Koxbox vs Transwave" Does this mean that Dado/Deedrah and Christof/Absolum formed Transwave? Only heard 1 Transwave track back from the days (Rezwalker), this kicks ass, but absolum and deedrah are both in completely different directions now imo. Can anyone confirm my question? sidetrakkt
Yeah, Transwave is indeed those two. They put out two albums and many other tracks. They're actually back together and are putting out a new (third) album soon! And I saw they are playing in Canada in October, perhaps some other dates as well. Zeyon
Sounds very interresting, although I don't expect their new album to match the style of Rezwalker..

Guest antic
Back to Koxbox' new CD. samples Well, it's sounds like tech-trance to me, but I'm gonna buy it anyway, since it's Twisted and it's Koxbox, at least what's left of it... Templar
The samples sound bombastic. I wonder how many whining posts will I read here in the morning, though.
sidetrakkt
There's a new review of the Koxbox album at psyreviews.net. Not that I always agree with his reviews, but he gave it a 10/10 so that sounds very promising!

Guest antic
would you rather a cut and paste of an older koxbox cd? No, no! I'm sure it's gonna be a good CD, but with Ian Ion a big part of that magic that made Dragon Tales or Headlines EP special vanished... That's all... I love all 3 Koxbox albums, and will sure love the 4th.
