Cinos Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 While trance has a hard time telling stories, not having any lyrics, it sometimes manages to. I'm looking for a lycanthropic or just primal theme to them. For what more beautiful that leaving thought and humanity behind? Know any? Quote
Ktrance Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Ticon - we are the mammoth hunters. Pretty primal I would say. Peace Quote
Trolsk Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Two albums that evoke visions of "beasts, animals and primal aspects" in me: Texas Faggott - Texas Faggott Yamabikaya - The Arrival Quote

Thats a fantastic album. VERY primal and almost has a very prehistoric sound to it. One of my favourite albums actually. I think you should check it out. Quote
Basilisk Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Al Rune - Magic Fungy (Terminator Remix)... this is the one. I have used it for just such a theme at an outdoor event in the woods. Intensity is the word! Listen to the whole thing. Quote

Basilisk Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Good reco with the Procs. Great tune. Cinos you should also check out Manibus... I am trying to remember the exact song - I think it is Signal to Noise perhaps? It has a long sample about turning into a werewolf Quote

Soulhunter Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 I would add Reefer Decree's Soundframes. By times it sounds like a massive mayhem of prehistorical prey-trading dinobillies. Specially "it did". Good stuff Quote

For something more active: STEVE ROACH - THE SERPENT'S LAIR !!! Fantastic, entrancing.... with a primal theme to it... the best tribal ambient I've heard. Quote
