I also posted the same query about 2 weeks ago - seems no-one has heard it yet... maybe this post will finally bring an answer........ Guest Cujo
Authentik and 3'turn and the complete same. and they also say that themselves "it's the same thing" so i don't see the point in "you will like authentik you will like 3'turn" as they don't produce tracks and say "this is authentik style!, This is 3'turn style" anyway, the tracks i heard from the album so far. kick ass! :-) /Cujo
Guest mad
that s what i say !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! why are u so agressiv??? the name are diferent is nt it ????? so ??????? if it is the same ???... "if u like authetik u gonna like 3.turn" i dont see the matter! pfffffffffff if u want i shut my mouth ,cujo , tell me!! anyway ..it is true...it kik ass (i m french and i m bad in english so maybe the language have built some walls in our explanation)
Guest Cujo
I think you misunderstood. im not aggressive! ? I just said, that 3'turn and Authentik are the same thing. and they don't make special authentik tracks and special 3'turn tracks. so the phrase "if you like authentik, you will like 3'turn" is pretty hollow. as any authentik track, could have been released as a 3'turn track anyway! Guest mad
yes ..i have many rmx of 3.turn by auhentik i understand that u say i think we have said the same but in an other way
Guest Cujo
For sure. :-) no harm done. but hte AUthentik remixes of 3'turn. they are nice, no doubt about it. but i can do a remix of one of my own tracks as well, and call it something completely different so that it will look more interesting and sell more? anyway, Authentik and 3'turn do great music. :-) it's as simple as that. like many others, some tracks can be boring, but certainly not BAD! :-)
Guest ikurtev
I was also surprised that no one has posted a review yet and finally posted a review myself today. I got this masterpiece on Friday and spent a chunk of my weekend listening to it. This is a must for everybody who likes Three Point Turn/Authentik. And guys, let us all be friends and not argue about the things we like and enjoy together! Peace!
Guest chong
thanks Ikurtev - great to finally see a review - - -- - ill be ordering it very soon............nice review mate! (btw, liked yr Chronika one as well)
Otto Matta
Hey, what kind of Authentik does 3.Turn sound like, the tech kind or the funky stuff?
Guest mad
he he
Guest chong
EA, from the review it sounds like the tech-trance stuff - but i'm just the beard!
Guest ikurtev
EA, that's a very good question! Great to know that someone is actually paying attention in class, :-P. There is actually only one track on the album "Green And Blue", predictably it's the last one, which sounds like the "funky" stuff from Preamplified. It makes for a very nice closing for the album. I think had gone a little too far in that direction with Preamplified, but this is not the case with Explicit. I actually played the album to a friend of mine who usually says that tech-trance is for 15-year-olds with a lot of extra energy but he said he liked this album... so you can make your conclusions. peace to all! Otto Matta
Sweet. Then I'm going to have to put that on my list. I'm 2x15 and I love good tech stuff, although it's still seemingly a rarity, monopolized by the Delta/X-Dream guys and Wizzy Noise. Here's another question: The tech stuff on Preamplified was horribly repetetive from track to track. Is the 3.Turn stuff a little more diverse? Thanks!
Guest ikurtev
Well, I would say that this album is slightly more diverse. It is still repetitive, but that I would guess is part of the techno influence... For more diverse stuff, I would check out the upcoming Midimiliz and X-Dream albums and the new Chronika Chapter 1 compilation from Boshke Beats. peace! Otto Matta
Well the other tech stuff I've heard like Spirallianz and The Delta are not nearly as repetetive as Authentik's stuff. That's why I'm wondering. I like Authentik's sound, but for me if you've heard one track you've heard them all. Now where did you hear about a new Midimiliz and X-Dream album?! Guest Mescalinium
silver edition 3!!! (spirallianz) the a-side of this record (battlejuice) is absolutely fierce
Guest ikurtev
There's a Midimiliz album titled "Passengers Only" coming up in December. For more info, check out their label at http://www.boshkebeats.com X-Dream have announced on their web site that they will be releasing their fifth album this Fall. peace! Otto Matta
Sweeeeeet! New Midimiliz!!! Can't wait. Also glad to see someone getting away from d.drum for a bit. We need more tech diversity, in my opinion. I'm a little skeptical of the X-Dream news, though. Is it possible that they'd release two CDs in one year? Yeah, Mescalinium, the Silver Edition stuff is pretty hot.
Guest chong
i was privilleged enuff to hear a number of trax from the new MidiMiliz album, coming out on Boshke-------------- no doubt this will be album of the last couple of years at least...an absolute stormer!!! Guest ikurtev
Wow. Where did you hear them? I heard Alex Tolstey played several tracks at Boom. I am soooo looking forward to this album. The tech-trance scene was dormant since the X-Dream album this spring. By the way, does anybody know what happened with D.Drum? They haven't released anything for a while and they are not featured on the Novatekk web site any more... And Irritant was delayed a lot, that is why it came out in 2002. Again, all my information is from the X-Dream web site, www.x-dream-music.com, I believe that to be a fairly accurate source. peace!
Guest chong
hey - what did u think of Alex's DJ set?? Your impressions of him as a DJ??
Guest Mescalinium
the irritant 12" came out nominally on d.drum (sleeve and everything). it's funny tho: i think the last release was Anomalie, which was d.drum 005, and this sleeve says d.drum 009. that's nova tekk for ya. as for explicit, i'm eagerly awaiting my copy in the mail!
