Etnica - Floorphilia

In 98, around the time "Equator" was released, there were plans to release this album by Etnica called "Floorphilia". It says so on the inside booklet of "Various - The Independence Trance Revival". Nice Toy (one of their best tracks) was supposed to be included.

I'm wondering what are the reasons this didn't happen?

Knowing some persons on this forum have quite a vast knowledge on Etnica's past, maybe they could tell?

Dj Young perhaps if you're reading this...? :)

hah my crappy memory. It was in the summer when I and X-Scream were wondering this. :)

I wish the guys from Etnica would visit this site sometimes, they surely would have lots of interesting stories to tell.

thanks for teh link! interesting :)

crop circles:

"actually the project comes from an afternoon me (M.Begotti) and Carlo Paterno spent toghether at his house.

We were recording etnica's "Vimana" and the track "Lunar civilization" got started at the same time.

Name of the project: Crop circle=from a magazine i was reading on the subject..... "

knowing Carlo's contribution on Crop Circles/Pleiadians sound (walk on the moon) it's now even clearer who was the mastermind behind those fierce analog melodies.

wasnt walk on the moon made by maurizio? atleast it sounds that it could be :D plus didnt he say so himself to you :P?

it sounds kinda less layered/more monotone and dry [ie simplicity] than those with carlo p.

well, i doubt that mauri was the mastermind behind those melodies, walk on the moon was packed with pleiadians sound of that time [FOL i assume] but it was very simple and monotone, nothing close to ifo/fol. ive heard that carlo was the mastermind and andrea at some point too. max was sort of manager or kinda, maurizio worked on fx's and breaks or something of that kind, thats what ive been told and thats how it could be, because maurizio music of present aswell as walk on the moon is pretty simple and even boring. no variation.

Yeah, but Maurizio himself made Astral Way before, so he is not that naive... :D

Yeah, true, I am sure that is the same as with other great producers, total lack of inspiration.  <_<

well, total lack of faith in creativity, since they make what sells, and do it just the same way as others. sure goa used to sell good too, but there was some diversity and some professionals/pasionate enthusiasts doing it.

did I say otherwise?

Right now it's unfortunately only Max and Mauri on the sticks and it makes all the difference in the world.

I'm curious to hear something new from Andrea and Carlo...

about OTC:

"O.T.C. = Order To Chaos

Italian musicians, part of the Etnica Family.

Giotto (G8, cause G is read as "Gi" and 8 is read as "Otto" in italian language) is established in Milano with his "Pleiades" studio where Mauri, Andrea and Carlo of Etnica often pass by to revive magic moments of the past era and make some music all-together. Wayann is a italo-french guy who also is into the etnica family and composed some tunes together with Maurizio and Giotto."

:)
