MessMedia
Trip Controllers contains 10 mind explosive and body massergic excursions of sonic shenanigans. Released under the Dark Star side of the Geomagnetic TV label. The overall noticeable thing about this compilation is the extreme nature of each track. The Sonics are of the type to get some response , rather than sooth the body and mind these tracks ignite and excite. This is not for the fluffy time of your trip , but for the time of far out brain exploring and seeing how far you can stretch your bodies capabilities for intense feeling. Things start with Twisted Reactions attention grabbing rollover base line, conscientious samples and an end to the world type melody. The track is called Brain Busters. Next up is Tsabeat vs Spazzz - Electrical Activity , a punchy stomper with rip em up effects, and "nice" stretchy and squeaky top end Sonics. Wicked Wires vs. Brain Hunters-Don’t Panic is a low down hummer of a track, that breaks to tell you not to panic, great alternate speaker effects and break downs that work to cause dace floor chaos. Psychoz -Right Now. Layer upon Layer of static noize builds, creating an unbelievable wall of sound around you. One that can be fully appreciated at high volume and in the state of mind suggested y the compilations title. Freqtrik's well weird and wonderful track titled Right Now, has top end sounds of the quality that cut right through you and a sequence that is ever changing, telling a tale of construction. Distorted Goblin - Synchronisation. The 1/16th base line and some great twangey synth sounds vibrate together to give you a ride on a cushion of rollover sound. The momentum of the trip increases with additional builds ups of gigantic proportions squeezing your body through that extra dimensional gap and into the beyond. Oh Yea ! - the kick means business on Dark Force’s-Bad Trip. Its the quality of the Sonics that count plus the unexpected twist.” Wake up we're going on vaction"says the cartoon voice, but just where the fck are you going? and where the fck are you anyway? Abandoned Noize-Eternal happiness .Its getting darker and it sounds like there’s drooling cave trolls and bubbling undercurrents in here along with the multi layers of sound they don’t leave much space for anything else, except the phat drum beat. Audiopathik-Traumatik Amnesia. Faster and even darker. With relentless pounding base lines, rubberised bee type sounds at the top end and samples that are almost too much, its mind cracking stuff. Last track is Gorump Peyya -Trip Controllers. Fast, hard beat and dark. Contains shattering glass and crazyness off the scale. Disorientating stuff.
