Guest Deep Kick
Has anybody out there ever heard of NOS's DJ set? What kinda music he spins? Thanks
Guest TjT
I think you mean NOS the artist. He often does the artwork at the Synthetic Sadhus parties in NY. I don't think he is a Dj too.
Guest Mescalinium
he is now apparently... www.synthetic-sadhus.com/events.htm
Guest Deep Kick
>TjT The reason Im askin this is that he is spining for synthetic sadhus earth dance party. Im kinda interested in his set. So I might get going if his set is good.
Guest ukiro
I first heard him DJ in 1996 (all DAT too) which is right about when he started doing backdrops I think... He's a close friend to the Digital Structures guys so he's probably got some of those influences, but I think of him as a slightly more "psychedelic" kinda guy. Last time I heard him was a few years ago so I'm not sure. But it's not going to be GMS-esque fullon and not minimal progressive house either. But he's a very good DJ. The guy has artistic skills in more than one way...
Guest TjT
He is multi-talented then. He is swedish right? so maybe he'll play some Scandinavian stuff. Did anyone here go to the Dragonfly party in July...how was the Man With No Name?
Guest ukiro
Yet, he's a swede. Expect some scando stuff for sure, probably some danish and german goodies too. And seeing as as he was doing DAT sets back in 96 he's probably playing mainly unreleased stuff now too. I don't think he's an official Digital Structures DJ (cant be bothered to check but since he knows those guys real well he probably gets a lot of their unreleased goodies. The new DS compilation looks damn sweet, btw.
Guest ikurtev
If you're talking about DigitalDJ 01, it rules. It's so cool to hear Marcus mix tracks, it adds a whole new dimension to listen to. The mix between We Are the Mammoth Hunters (MOS rmx) and Rewoo is treemendous. I would love to post a review, but unfortunately, the Psynews guys still haven't made it available for reviews. And for those going to the Sadhus party and who enjoy the Scandinavian sound, watch out for the Vibrasphere live set. They are releasing a new album on DS within a couple of months, so I hope they play some tracks from it. The tracks they released on compilations this spring and summer have been real killers. NOS is scheduled very early in the line-up, I found that kind of interesting. The party is going to be one strange mix of progressive and full-on sounds. peace!
