East Coast is not dismal at all ! very active with kick ass events....These are all top quality production crews, very reputable with great recognition.

Asheville, NC has a budding scene (Touch Samadhi), and is one of the most amazing towns in the US, from what I've experienced, but it's about a six-hour drive from DC (I'm originally from Alexandria).

good question, i need to know to as am hopefully living in baltimore for the next 6 months and i need tunes. definately willing to travel to nyc for the big parties, how long does it take from baltimore???????????????

p.s am from uk and if you want good parties london is the place!! in a few weeks there is x dream, cosmosis and bamboo forest live, wish i was still here and in november space tribe live and dj, christoff and joti sidu live and dj, fuck, its not the time to go to the states---prove me wrong!!

NYC and Philly, have a burgeoning scene. Check the aforementioned as Well as, Omni Tribe, M-Labs, Twisted Minds, PSI, Unknown Shrooms. And a few other crews to boot. This past summer was full of awesome beach and woods parties as well.

moonky - There's an Amtrak train that goes from Baltimore to NYC. If I recall, it takes about three or four hours. Not bad. Might be a better idea than driving a car in the city. It's probably worse than London for parking. Good luck.

Hey EndScape, i'm not sure if this helps you in DC. But you can take Septa/NJ Transit round trip from NY to Philly for a hair under 30 bucks round trip. takes about 2.5 hours.

amtrak can be all f'd up sometimes. but it's a decent option... one that i don't look into enough- or even think of. oh, and i'm almost positive it takes longer than 3 or 4 hours.

 

oh, and there is a psychokinetics party for halloween in frederick, maryland.
