Guest phaeton Posted October 2, 2002 Share Posted October 2, 2002 hmm i haven't heard too many positive things about la nebuleuse, especially not about his mixing skills, but i've never heard him play myself so i don't think i could make a sensible judgement .. anyway the "matrix" cd he compiled for the tikal label is very good and i'm sure you'll like that one, it's innovative kickin' full on psy .. but probably hard to get, because the label no longer exists (and from what i've heard totally ripped of most of their artists) .. but the best artists from that compilation luckily moved to other labels, which lead to the compilation "psychovader" on apoxina records which in my opinion still is the best cd released so far this year .. there should be lots more good music coming from the artists featured on that compilation, especially watch out for the danish groups meteloids and grapes of wrath if you like frantic, at times almost psychotic full on floor fillers also definitely worth mentioning is digital talk, and i think these artists their debut albums should be released within a few months or so on apoxina, demon tea and acidance .. oh and i think i also heard there's a weirdo beardo album coming up, but i'm not sure about that .. and ofcourse the best introduction to this kind of psy is hux flux's album "cryptic crunch", it's probably been the album that 'started' this specific blend of trance .. parvati's compilations "first step" and "psychedelically yours" definitely fit in this style as well and are very good .. but i realize that what i actually ended up doing right now is mentioning the stuff i play myself and not what la nebuleuse plays because i only know that he compiled a cd in this style but have no idea if he actually spins this kinda stuff at parties too dah, i'm too stoned, but check out those cd's anyway, they are really worth it Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest edu Posted October 3, 2002 Share Posted October 3, 2002 phaeton, i saw yr name and played with the idea of coming tomorrow, BUT i have class saturday all day long, a class that costs a lot of money and that really interests me, so i guess i 'd better use my common sense this time and impose some self-discipline upon myself and use all my inner strength and resist going to lier tomorrow. some other time hopefully... i do go to amsterdam almost every month ... i stopped by at senseblender - but only got there on Sunday morning 7AM, when the sun came out... did u play before or after that?
