abasio Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 It's Autumn here. The leaves are changing to that lovely golden brown colour & everything looks bright & cheery. The air is fresh & the people look snug! I have found myself since the start of autumn that I have been enjoying more vocal chill! It really seems to match the environment as I am walking to work. Hol Baumann's Live at Sonica has some vocal tracks that I have really enjoyed & I am loving Omnimotion's Days of Silence too. So what music does Autumn bring you? Same old same old or does your taste vary slightly with the seasons like mine does? Quote
Time_Trap Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 generally I play all music all seasons... But I find Boards Of Canada to go pretty well with Autumn spirit.. Quote
Jikkenteki Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Interesting question, I've never really thought about whether I listen to different music in different seasons, but I seem to recall last winter I was listening to more rock and heavy type of stuff I used to listen to when I was younger than usual. Today it was bordering on snowing as well and for some reason I started listening to Korn for the first time in years as well. Maybe its the weather, or maybe its simply because I'm busy writing an album again and often when I am writing a lot I tend to not listen to trance as if I'm going to be inspired by music I'm listening too I'd rather pull in something from outside the genre so to speak. ???? AkumaSama Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 in autumn i usualy listen less fast music. i like very power music in summer but autumn gives me more into progress & heavy chill. shpongle is good in autumn Quote
abasio Posted November 13, 2006 Author Posted November 13, 2006 I'm looking for something warm sounding but not summery to wrap me up while I'm walking outside. Quote

Trolsk Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 So what music does Autumn bring you? Same old same old or does your taste vary slightly with the seasons like mine does? 641324 Colorful music, of course! Hallucinogen's Twisted, Nervasystem & Aether's Mama Matrix, Bjork's Vesperine, Wisp's NTHDR (or something like that), etc. But it's winter where I live, so now I listen to Junior Boys, dark psy-trance (pre 2000) and Frank Sinatra. Schmo Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 I am loving Omnimotion's Days of Silence too. 641324 Agree with you there, infact most tracks on that album fits these autumn times Celtic Cross - Shwazz is another track that comes to my mind Quote

abasio Posted December 2, 2006 Author Posted December 2, 2006 Damn Autumn didn't last long here! 2 or 3 weeks Now it's bastard cold, I'm freezing my nuts of every morning & listening to faster music! The Far east Technology really hit my winter fullon vibe Quote

JackCheese Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Ultimae's VA - Albedo (especially the first half) is what I like during autumn actually I wouldn't even mind if that first short CBL track on it would last for the full 80 minutes, love it dearly Quote
abasio Posted November 10, 2008 Author Posted November 10, 2008 Played an Autumn set at Sirocco, went for a lot of Ambient Goa (final tracks on Goa CDs inc) & it felt right Quote
amphiton Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Autumn started with depressive dub, dub techno and dubstep with black and white covers and this period lasted for a month. Don't try this at home Quote
