Tatsu
I do the same, the only difference is that I listen to samples on Saikosounds or go to a record shop and listen there. And then buy the good stuff!

Ormion
I buy a compilation If there's an artist that I like a lot I buy his album Never listened to samples
Tatsu
I never liked listening to samples, sometimes they sound so cool, and then when you get the cd, its just plain crap.... 648113 Has happened to me, but not very often so I still go with this modus operandi. I buy a compilation If there's an artist that I like a lot I buy his album Never listened to samples 648122 I used to do the same, but there are so many releases I just can't buy any compilation just because there is an artist I like. I would if I had the money but... I also used to buy albums and comps just after reading the psynews reviews (the old ones) and most of the buys were good catches! Time_Trap
*doesnt hear fullon bassline=> listens carefuly you should listen carefully even if it has a rolling bassline mate. else you are missing some good stuff. Even some oldschool tracks had rolling/full-on basslines.
abasio
1. I buy an album or compilation. 2. If I like it I listen to it a lot 3. If not it gets put on the shelf 4. I come back to it a few months later 5. If I like it I listen to it a lot 6. If not it goes back on the shelf This continues as a kind of cycle! snowball
Sounds fair enough, if that is really your routine 648109 Yeah,it is! (you calling me a liar???) I do the same, the only difference is that I listen to samples on Saikosounds or go to a record shop and listen there. And then buy the good stuff! 648111 I have been fooled too many times from samples that sounded superb, but then the cd was crap. I buy a compilation If there's an artist that I like a lot I buy his album Never listened to samples 648122 Sometimes a track by an artist is great, but his album suxxxxxx you should listen carefully even if it has a rolling bassline mate. else you are missing some good stuff. Even some oldschool tracks had rolling/full-on basslines. 648152 I have to dig through a ton of generic crap fullon to find a good track.too lacy for that.if one comes by my way,and I like it,all is good. 1. I buy an album or compilation. 2. If I like it I listen to it a lot 3. If not it gets put on the shelf 4. I come back to it a few months later 5. If I like it I listen to it a lot 6. If not it goes back on the shelf This continues as a kind of cycle! 648155 I sometimes do that with well known labels or artists.Mostly when its about ambient.with some artists/labels,you can never go wrong Just because of that point your strategie is the best i´ve ever read, don´t allow the fullon to keep space of your hdd, you can save really better things with that space. 648160 You are the man!!!! Kill those boring basslines!!! echo void
I don't really have a routine... I can't keep up to the things I keep finding out that I want... be it listening to at a friends... artists who have never disappointed... artists who I have seen live... compilation tracks that are awesome will convince me to buy the full CD... samples from saiko sounds... no routine...
