Guest hale Posted October 7, 2002 Posted October 7, 2002 Can anyone tell me more about "Maharishi", ore something like that - new Twisted CD. Thanx !!! Quote
Guest PK Posted October 7, 2002 Posted October 7, 2002 Hello The Maharishi cd is the Back Room Beats compilation cd. It came out on Twisted last year. It`s a very nice chill out/psyambient cd, with tracks by Younger Brother, Doof etc. Then Twisted made a little label named Backroom Beats. This label is supposed to come out with various chill out music. The first release on this label was the Electroslide album, released this summer. This is a chill out album, but not very psychedelic. You can compare it to other chill out artists from France, like Kid Loco and Air. Then the second album from the Backroom beats label came out, just a few weeks ago. This was the new Toires album (Salam). This is arabic/morroccan music mixed with electronic ambient (very nice!). Then, last week, Twisted (not Backroom Beats) came out with a new album called; Hallucinogen In Dub. This is 6 Hallucinogen tracks remixed by Ott. Very nice dub, and very remixed. This is the latest release from the Twisted/Backroom Beats crew. Ok that`s it! PK Quote
traveller Posted October 7, 2002 Posted October 7, 2002 But isn't "backroom beats" [on backroom beats] their first release? Quote
Guest PK Posted October 7, 2002 Posted October 7, 2002 If you check the catalogue number on the Backroom Beats compilation cover, it`s got a TWS number... (=released on Twisted) The stupid thing is that the Electroslide cd has catalogue number: BBEATCD02 but it doesn`t exist any BBEATCD01!!! PK Quote
Basilisk Posted October 7, 2002 Posted October 7, 2002 these are the kinds of headaches i have to deal with =) Quote
Guest hello Posted October 7, 2002 Posted October 7, 2002 but it seems the maharishi is also called backroom beats or what?? Quote
Guest DeeperNETWERK Posted October 8, 2002 Posted October 8, 2002 The 'In Dub' was released on Twisted as well, not Backroom Beats. It's all really the same thing, though, so who cares? Quote
