Mutilated_Core Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Well next year I wanna apply to a famous german design school. Therefore I need a map with about 20 paintings/drawings. Now I made about 10. My question is: Are they good or just crap? Feel free to tell me what you think about them because if they`re crap I might not have the talent and ambition to be chosen. First I scanned just 2 of them. The rest is painted with pastel crayons. (Both of paintings are A3 that’s why it looks a little bit small and maybe unproportional.) Quote

Try to draw perspectives of spaces and objects, ancient greek sculptures or parts of them heads, arms, legs and their clothes . Try to have many layers between black and white and give 3d forms from that, use pencils B5 up to HB and try to be more realistic those draws are kind of plakat ( 2dimension draws ). If you want to make a porfolio ( a book of your work) need to work hard have many different kinds of drawings ( spaces, furnitures, figures, sculptures and objects) dont start use color is to early focus on black and white is very important . From black and white and the tones between you gonna learn to give dimension to your drawings . To start a pre school before is a very good idea it gonna help a lot . Remember that the key is to focus in your drawings and work hard, is very important . Wish you the best Quote
