Guest PK
Yes!!!! Jaia played a veeery nice live set at Samothraki dancefestival in Greece in august! He played at the same time as Hallucinogen, but at a smaller stage, so we were like 30 people dancing like crazy.. Like a private Jaia party... He played new and old tracks. Guest rx7style
No, it is one very talented Frenchman I believe. Sinfully delightful tracks, but he must be either too busy to release music with all of the live sets he's probably marketing. I'd love to have a quick interview with him for this site, but I'd rather not consume time with that because then he'll have more time with his music equipment, both for his own enjoyment and ours -- if he wants us to hear what beautiful compositions he's conjured up! Glad to see you stopped by the site! Bom! 8^)
khogg
As I understand it, Jaia was 2 (one from greece and one from france??), and now is one. One of the guys left and the other still makes stuff (the odd track on a comilation) under the Jaia name.
Guest jaia
hi! this is Yannis, the one of the jaia guys who still makes stuff under the the Jaia name I'm now working on a new album, I hope finish it at he spring 2003. I've released really few tracks because i'm working very slowlly (i need about one month for a track) and i'm working on other -not trance- projects too in the same time. About our nationality, Jean-Michel is frensh, and I'm frensh too, but my parents are greek. PS for rx7style: thank you for your cool rewiews
khogg
I know many people (myself included) look forward to that album. Have you considered doing what you did with Blue Synergy: releasing the new tracks on CD1 and releasing the singles on a second CD? I thought that was just great. I wish more artists would do that. Guest jaia
I think it'll be only one CD. Releasing singles is very complicated because of the exclusivity agreements with the labels : you need to do a licence and it's unfortunately very expensive. We've donne that with Blue Synergy because we thought that was better than to re-release simply Blue Energy as one CD. As this time it'll be a completly new album, the situation is different. I was first thinking to do remixes of old tracks in a second CD, but I will need at least 6 month more to do it... that's too long and I prefer to do new stuff than remixes. khogg
Oh well, I thought so. The reason I asked is that it is nice to have the singles that come between albums in one place, because it is expensive to track down all the tracks on compilations (which I often don't do just becuase it sucks to buy a whole CD for one song). But anyway, good luck with the new album!
Guest jaia
I inderstand, that's one of the reason we've done it too. I hope people will like the new album, I'm doing my best...it's a big work!
