Aqualung
Being a noob I voted 4/5. I like a lot releases nowadays, some are very diverse like Koxbox and Mantrix, I also like a lot of the so called new school stuff. For some people it was always better in the "old" days, you see them in every kind of music, I prefer to look ahead and live in the present. But, oh well, I'm a noob anyway . NEMO.BOFH
What the hell is going on here? The site has been up for a short time and already people are going nuts!? Was it that bad on you? Â Cut the crap already. Argure fair, but stop the flaming. And that goes for ALL of you, not just the ones that reported and sent us pm's! Rotwang
I went with 4.5 out of 5, not because I think that a large proportion of modern releases are good, but because I think there is enough damn good stuff being released. The last few years have been great for dark psy. I know that not everyone likes the style but that doesn't mean it's bad, I don't think one can deny that much of what is being produced has a lot of merit from an objective point of view. Besides, if all the artists were just producing stuff that sounded like Astral Projection in the late nineties, everyone would be complaining that the genre was stale. True there are some trully great modern releases. Some are even better than the "Golden Era" releases IMO People that are saying 0/5 & Psy trance is dead well I think that they have probably already made up their minds that they don't like modern psy & so don't even try to find anything decent!  Psy trance releases this year that I prefer to the old ones are  Jikkenteki - The Long Walk Home Mood Deluxe - The Tangent Universe V/A - Far East Technology  plus a whole host of chilled releases.  I've been into trance since around 93/94 so I'm not a noob either. Just not stuck in my ways
AkumaSama
I is liking the modern age psy as same as old age psy.
Stalker
Eletronic music is living a fairly nice era. And some of those people somehow related to the psytrance scene are making some good music 3/5 for me
Guest The Journey Man Project
2.5/5 Â Â simply because I find about half of what is released to be psychedelic... by the standards set by the pioneers of the scene... the sunbgenres bein dark night stuff and some ( but not much) of the neo goa trance (sorry to Suntrip and Trnceform fans, but it just sooo doesn't cut it against the old stuff and I refuse to settle for soemthing less)... alot of the the full on and proggy studd is awesome elctronic music, but is just isn't psy trance... and the chillout, well, I think a lot is overrated due to the minimal amount being produced, it's alwaysthe same shit from the same producers! Time_Trap
if we say that the golden era was 4.5 - 5 /5 , today it would be around 2.5 - 3.5 /5 There's some good stuff & talented artists for sure in the last years.. (Check releases from names such as Procs, Derango, KaSol or Mandalavandalz & some other suomi psy.. ) Â But anyways IDM & its hybrids seem to be the ultimate future trippy psychedelic music, I would like the scene to grow up in my coutnry & have some Intelligent brainDance parties.. radi6404
definitely 0/5 . R.I.P Â Thank God we have a rich collection from GOLD era (90's psy-goa-trance) otherwsise no reason to involve generally with psy-trance imo. nowdays psy-trance it's just ridiculous. FUCKING TRUE

Ladic
3.5/5  i dont consider vocoder disco as psytrance (but guys at psyshop are tagging phonokol releases relentlessly as psychedelic. so are thinking lots of dumbasses in my country. those people that consider vocoder disco + crappy beatmix as psychedelia should be thrown and locked in large halls with lasers aimed to the eyes and amphetamine for free).  speaking about music, there is lot of same sounding stuff. but still, from time to time, unbelievable tracks appear. and for those jewels of electronic music it's still worth for me to keep on watching this scene  thoth sphere and so on. Stalker
Totally agree with you DP. Except maybe for the fucking part, if you got class, you can use it really well What it would be of us if there wasnt a Tony Montana, or an Andy Kaufman? The thing is that radi is no Andy
deus_
I give 0,5/5 without second thought. This thing is not definetely 'psychedelic' but cheap club music for the masses. Some people chose to follow the trend and some others just waiting for the next real big thing.Few exceptions of great music can't really help the situation. And to be honest, after 2000 i can't find something interesting to hear from the most kinds of electronic music.Unfortunately we are living in the age of commercialisation and that's so clear in today's productions.Everybody want to taste the glory of being a dj or a producer.Easy access to technology and unprofessional labels are their friends.Too bad for the music. Sometimes i really wonder, if after 10 years, people will spend 100,200 or 300 euros to find and buy something that has been released in 2006 let's say. Finally, only time will tell what it was really valuable (musically) and what not. psytimeofmylife
4/5 because you have to look for the good stuff. There'll always be some shit music everywhere. think positive about searching - you have a choice to choose
abasio
People cant be bothered to search! They want the good old days when there were 3 releases a year so it was easy to choose. People who say there is no good releases nowadays are just lazy IMO
deus_
For the only thing that i'm not lazy is to search for good music. What makes you believe that there were few releases in 1996?

Guest Rezwalker
original : in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void.
