Guest mE
hey eh.. does anyone have a cd player that plays a staticy sound when you listen to certain cds? Mine when i listen to certian burned cds sometimes has a rythmic static come on. Very bad. Other CD players don't have that sound when the same disc is played. So it must be the player? Do you think i should clean my lens or what... It has only happened with burned discs so far. IT IS one of my decks... yeah not good. Otto Matta
Yeah, I've got a Sony component CD player that was always extremely fickle about CDs. 25% of them would get that incredibly annoying repetitious static sound when played that would play fine on other CD players. They say, however, that 90% or so of problems are either due to a dirty lens or a dirty or scratched CD. Since its one of your decks you may want to take it in to be looked at by a professional. Guest Inukko
I used to have a cheap CD player that was extremely finicky about what it would play. A lenscleaner disk fixed the problem; so if you're using a typical, consumer desk, I would say give it a try...
