Otto Matta
So, the question just occurred to me, and I thought I'd throw it out there: Let's say I have a regular snare pattern going, and I only wanted a delay to effect one snare hit, how would I do this? Would I have to create a new snare track just for that hit, or...?
postunder
either that or open the snare hit in a wav editor, apply the delay and put it back in the tune with the regular snares. also u can put a delay on your current snare track, record/export it, cut one hit out of the exported bit, put it back in the tune with the other snares and take off the delay from the track
supergroover
all of the above i would do apply the delay in the program itself so you know the tempo is set right (or set tempo right in the wave editor if possible). Then export as wave and cut in wave editor. and add the delayed snare in the sampler or in battery or whatever you are using. A reversed delayed sound can sound pretty cool btw.
