Chis Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Abasio, that's the first sensible post I've seen from you. I'm shocked. Lets be honest: this album makes modern day full-on psy look unbelievably soulless. Production quality be damned. Quote
Klaxer Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 But where is Rezwalker (black thunder mix) and Quasar? Quote
Oopie Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 But where is Rezwalker (black thunder mix) and Quasar?obviously somewhere else than in best-of compilation. Quote
reger Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 But where is Rezwalker (black thunder mix) and Quasar?wasnt it that they couldnt find quasar on their dat, nor did anyone else had it on dat? Quote
Mindphilux Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 seems like this easily could have been a 2 disc set. a lot of people have been questioning where other tracks are Quote
reger Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 i guess since they wanted to introduce with their music new generation of psytrancers before release of their new album its quite rational to release only one cd, since i dont think that "youngsters" would have interest in listening to 2cd's of someones "best of". imo. sure, then there are goa fans, for whom even 4 cd's wouldnt be enough, but i dont know if that was main target of this release, as allready mentioned, i read somewhere that backfire is like an intro for those who never heard of psytrance, sort of promotional release before their upcoming album Quote
Basilisk Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 I suppose I should chime in with my extensive review find it here: http://www.ektoplazm.com/reviews/transwave-backfire/ Quote
Malevol3nt Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Awesome album. I never heard them before so I never heard any of the tracks from compilations. This is quality material for sure (even if it's old, but old is gold rite?) ! Quote
seraph Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 transwave is the shiet was They make full on now, so it's not as good as before. Quote
reger Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 ok, transwave IS the shiet as far it concerns their goa works, todays minimal dull-on shite doesnt count Quote
XpandoZ Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 code s9 !! :wank: beautiful beautiful beautiful track Quote
AkumaSama Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 average not the best oldschool there was but quite nice. I wish good oldschool acts would release albums like this Quote
Darkarbiter Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Hey so (after reading Basilisk's review) does that mean that transwave are making new stuff as well? I would hope so... these guys are along with the Infinity Project my favourite Goa trance project. BTW I wouldn't call distance to goa 3 incredibly rare. Quote
Ormion Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 11/10 Simply put it this cd is unbelievable. Anahata is one of the best tracks ever written and not just in Psytrance field. (Also one of the first Goa tracks I heard. It took me 5 years to find out that it was a Transwave one). Flamycogire is... no words. Killer, real killer. It has probably the best bassline ever and amazing lines. Another track that took me years and years to find out that it's a Transwave one). The rest of the tracks are all masterpieces. Quote
mystical dragon Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Dis is one of the best damn... transwave cd i hve heard all d tracks r such a killler.............. Cycles of life , Flamicogyre OMG dey r awsum arsonik iz jst amazing song 4.6/5 :drama: Quote
frozen dream Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 i played code s9 and cycles of life i think this weekend Quote
dunkey Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Good present for Transwave funs. I get a big pleasure from this album, espessially from Ulysse Voyage No.2, Bombay Night, Arsonik. Quote
sunwolf Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 I would buy this for Arsonik and Code S9 alone. Both stellar work from 1996. The other best ones are Adoration To The Aum, Hypersphere and Cycles Of Life. I find Bombay Night and Flamincogyre a little lacking. 5/5 for sure though. Quote
healium Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 If you find a couple tracks "a little lacking" how could you give it a perfect score of 5/5? Quote
sunwolf Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Because it's one of the best. I've never heard any album where no tracks are somewhat lacking (this doesn't mean they suck, only they aren't as amazing as the others). Quote
healium Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Yah that's why I question anyone giving an album a perfect score - people seem to throw 5/5 and 10/10 around like it's nothing, and so a mark that high loses its significance... Quote
