Guest lunaire
I was just asking the future of DJ'ing in psy-trance, because i think we hace enough musician to play it .......... and just because i was to boom and it was so bad to ear 5 times (and perhaps more) the same tracks during a 5 days festival ...... if you can pay a musician to play his music why pay a DJ who certainly play same tracks ??? Guest Zero
You're right dude, just a few Djs plays a different style than Astrix/altom/gms/alien Project/etc...because it's way more easy to have a good reaction of the audience by playing tunes people already knows. But they exist!
Guest --==1400MiLeS==--
The DJ always played 2nd violin in psytrance as the emphasis was on the artists, the ppl that actually make the stuff, and not the one only spinning it. I think this is an healthy thing. But...I think the combination 'Live act' in the evening, DJ for the night/morning works pretty well. Guest Andy
look at the differance from somone playing a dj set rather than a live set - in terms of money there is a big differance! Dont want to use them as an example but they publish their price on their web-site but GMS live 2000$ - dj set from one of them 800$ - they will play the same tunes - and how live can live really be? food for thought!
