Guest Vasyachkin
a few months ago i posted a link to a dc++ exe file that has upload bandwidth limiting; now since then i can't find that link and i have lost my entire C drive a while ago so i dont have this file myself. i need this feature because i am on adsl which if all upload bandwidth is clogged, it cannot send the needed "overhead" and the download stalls, i NEED to limit upload from max of 16K to about 12K then it works fine; literally if i dont limit my upload i get about 1K download, but if i just trim the upload a little bit the download goes up to 80K. i know that for adsl its SUPPOSED to be independent (upload and dowload) and it is UP TO A POINT at which 100% upload gets used up, then it just dies does anybody know how i can get the bandwidth throttled dc++ ? thanx. Guest >>>flo3>>&
Author: vasyachkin (---.ny5030.east.verizon.net) Date: 07-20-02 08:20 http://dcpp.netfirms.com download this unofficial (hacked) version of DC++; unzip it and replace the original file in the DC++ directory with this one. then run DC++ and simply go to sharing tab and set the desired max upload speed. why? because ADSL modems' download speed suffers tremendously if upload speed is 100%. i was literally getting only about 5% of my max download speed before i capped the upload to 12K instead of 16K which was its natural max speed. now i get full download speed my DSL can give me. FINALLY. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- please post mp3 stuff in off topic cant understand why since it is related to :"general discussion about psytrance",,,anyway the owners of the forum asked for that several times so... support the scene don't waste it: mp3's are ment to become original cds or trash...not wav.
