Guest Honguito
I'm considering to go there next summer but I would like to hear from some people how it is first. The lineup for 2001 didn't contain as well known names as for example Samothraki but is it still quality? What kind of music is played there? Because the festival is in Germany I would guess that minimal dominates. Please share some of your experiences from VOOV with me because based upon what you people say, I'll decide whether to go or not
Guest hippo
well, when I have been there the music sucked big time and I heard that for quite a few years, with a major exception of 2002, I think I haven't heard a single bad review this year. But either way, I would say it is worth going there for the experience (guess it is not called "voov experience" for no reason ), for meeting people and having a great time, even if the music isn't so perfect at all times. Then again it was my first festival ever, so it was hard not to have a hard time, including my first trip and candyflip, hehehehe. But I met great people there and even after a few years am still in touch with some of them.
Guest Jaimz
I was there last year and I thought it was fantastic. It was an excellent production, great vibes, great weather, great artists [GMS, Joti, Anti, Mark Allen, Ticon, Son Kite, Bim, Stella Nutella, Eduardo, Ticon, S-Range..], and the music was definitely not minimal - on the main night you had Antaro DJing for three hours, GMS DJing for three hours, and Joti DJing for three hours.. then killer sets from Anti and Mark Allen, which while they were progressive were certainly still very psychedelic and very danceable. On the other floor [the alternate floor, which goes for three nights while the main floor only goes for one], there was a wide range of stuff - even Bim was playing the Alien Project sound, but well mixed up with some good German psychedelic stuff. I was probably the biggest surprise of the summer for me - I was expecting cold vibes, drunken germans, and dull music, but I was wrong on all three counts. :-) Highly recommended. Guest Goagabba
One of the best organized festivals in the known psy world. Went in the summer, same one as Jaimz above, and was blown away by how friendly a huge festival like that can be. The most friendly people I have ever met. The German scene has a very shanti and PLURY scene. No bad vibes, 15 000 people. The location is good, and the food is better'n any festival I've ever been to. Just go! : )

Guest pswe
dont kill me for saying this.. but... i think there was TOO much drugs there... people coming up to me ALL the time to sell hard drugs.. even the recordshops, foodplaces sold drugs "in the back"... "friendly" people trying to sell you drugs and then leaves when you say, no thanks.. nice... btw, how come the police never shows up? a festival like this would totally impossible to arrange in the nordic countries without the police taking ppl in for drugabuse..
