Which soundcard?

Guest

Hi peoploe, I´m above to buy a professional sound card so I can start makeing my own tracks but I don´t know which sound card to buy. All I know is I need a pro soundcard with an external interface so I can connect it to my synth and record sound in my computer; also can be pluged to a mixer for live performances.

Any suggestion?

thanx

thanx mate, but thats not the queen of the promp. I saw the Creative's Platinum one and it has that external interface I need. It has midi and digital sound in and out, kinda what I need

If you're on a budget, go for the Midiman Audiophile 2496. As far as bang for your buck goes, that's probably the best you can get.

If you have a bit more cash [and yes, if you had infinite cash you'd just go with one of DigiDesign's ProTools setups, but I'm guessing you'd like to keep the amount you spend under a 5 figure value], then you should check out the full range from Midiman/M-Audio, Terratec, Turtle Beach, Creamware, MOTU and Yamaha. They all make pretty good pro soundcards.

Forget about Creative. They make soundcards for gamers.
