AppA Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 Hi, I can buy the following albums a bit cheap (2nd hand), but I'm afraid that my wallet isn't big enough, so eventually I can choose only 3 of the following: Various - A Taste Of Dragonfly Vol. 2 Various - Distance To Goa 1 Various - Distance To Goa 3 Various - Distance To Goa 9 Various - Goa-Head Vol. 2 Various - Greetings From Goa Various - Hypnotrance 3 - The Intergalactic Trance Collection (<--- this is quite interesting, since it was produced by the makers of Thunderdome, Dutch hardcore/gabber elitars ) Various - House Of Dreams I'm looking for good Goa Trance: deep, spiritual and fluid Thanks in advance! Quote
abasio Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 I would choose these because they are great Various - A Taste Of Dragonfly Vol. 2 Various - Distance To Goa 1 Various - Goa-Head Vol. 2 Quote
Guest antic Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 I'd take Distance to Goa 1 & 3 and Greetings from Goa. That Hypnotrance 3 doesn't have a single artists I've heard of, so I doubt it is goa/psy at all... Quote

I only own two of the listed releases: A Taste Of Dragonlfy 2 and Greetings From Goa. Personally I like Greetings From Goa way better, it's an awesome comp and I can recommend it (not that the Dragonfly comp is bad either). Judging from the tracklists I would also go for House Of Dreams, looks very good but I haven't heard it so I can't give you a real advise on it. Quote
no-nonsense Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 If price is the same, I'd get the double albums: Distance 3, Greetings and Head 2. More bang for your buck. Quote
fosku Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 I would choose these because they are great Various - A Taste Of Dragonfly Vol. 2 Various - Distance To Goa 1 Various - Goa-Head Vol. 2 That would be my choice as well... Quote
seraph Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 Various - Distance To Goa 3 Various - Goa-Head Vol. 2 Various - Greetings From Goa Quote

AppA Posted April 28, 2007 Author Posted April 28, 2007 At a second glance, I think I have enough Goa... ...so I can forget it all and buy http://www.discogs.com/release/58568 ? Quote

Drew05 Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 there seems to be alot of support for Distance To Goa 1 i own this album and apart from the Slinky Wizard and Total Eclipse tracks, i find the rest pretty plain. i will throw it on again now that i have read so many people recommend it Quote
DaZeD Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 Hi, I can buy the following albums a bit cheap (2nd hand), but I'm afraid that my wallet isn't big enough, so eventually I can choose only 3 of the following: Various - Hypnotrance 3 - The Intergalactic Trance Collection (<--- this is quite I used to own a few Hypnotrance cd's like 10 years ago, it was the first time I heard something like that. I was hooked on them, still own 2 of them, nicely scratched alover. It's not goa trance, more acid influenced, but dreamy music also. More like XTC music. Quote
Time_Trap Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 Distance To Goa 1 ... for sure.. Moog - Euromotor is a great underrated gem.. and more good tracks there too. Quote
visine Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 That Hypnotrance 3 doesn't have a single artists I've heard of, so I doubt it is goa/psy at all... Three state logic = Synchro also X connection = DJ Misjah and Groovehead. Misjah is well known for his "Access" track with DJ Tim for example. Quote
