Guest Inu
I mean, seriously. This is worse than that "Serotonin Sunrise" crap. Underworld's retarded cousins?

Basilisk
am i the only guy who can't listen to the new wave of vocalized psy?
Guest --==1400MiLeS==--
Dunno, especially the old Underworld has that classy indie/trance touch which sounds way more convincing than most techno/trance acts that heavily influence our scene nowadays. Tracks like Rez, Pearls Girl, Juanita/Kiteless/To Dream Of Love, Push Upstairs etc. are really excellent imo and I woulden't mind if some of that energetic vibe was used as influence. I haven't heard the Element album so can't judge but the Underworld influence is also apparant on the Emou album and there it absolutely works imo. Guest peaceful warrior
I think if you can't stand vocalization in psytrance then you are a little bit narrow. There is not really anything that I can't "stand". Be it minimal, melodic, clubby, dubby, slow, fast, soft, harsh, lyrical or whatever. If it sounds good it gets a spin from me. The way some people judge things is just so arbitrary and stupid. I'm sorry but I am sick of closed-minded people telling me something is good or bad based on some generalized bias that they have towards something. For example, so many people said the latest Infected Mushroom single 'birthday' just sucked because it has singing in it and it's "not really psytrance". Well I'm glad I didn't really listen to those people and I bought it anyway. It turns out it is quite good. If my point was to review it here then I would go into why I think it represents something new and good. But right now all I am comenting on is how so many people tell you something is good or bad and then all they do to explain themselves further is to reveal some stupid arbitrary bias they have which doesn't help us one bit in understanding whether it might be good or not but only lets us know that the person describing it is a closed-minded idiot. Guest Inu
This ain't a "vocals in trance" thread. I love Underworld, and singing. I just think the song is bad. Incidentally... Underworld "Cowgirl" = Quirk "Ping"?
Basilisk
that's rather harsh, 'peaceful' warrior. there's not even any point to explaining how musical taste IS arbitrary. that's not idiotic - that's simply how it goes...
Guest russ
peaceful warrior should get off his high horse. i hate the vocals, not just because they are "vocals", but because they are unnbelievably stupid, cheesy, and lame vocals that should make any singer blush. come on, you cannot possibly argue that those lyrics are better than anything mariah carey has ever sung. every single line is cliche cliche cliche cliche ad in finitum. the guys's voice is actually cool, but those lyrics! god help us when the German start singing English pop in trance. the very least they could have done is come up with something interesting or intelligent or different to sing. if the lyrics sounded more like stereolab, then i might not have such an issue with them. but if i heard this cheese at a party i would run screaming into the woods, baby:-)
