well, this set will surely rock the dancefloor, but all these tracks are very popular & well known, so it's very likely that some of them will be played before you in someone else's set. That's why i like to use relativeley unkown music in my sets - That way i can surprise the crowd + nobody else will use the same tracks in their set...

 

btw: Sub6 & Pixel - Teder Beseder = Fucking killaaaa track!!!

lets say a 50 % is dled but i dont feel guilty for the next reasons :

 

1. every time i can i spend my money in original albums

2. almost every weekend i spend more than 20 dollars is psy parties (ticket and beer)

3. they not going to pay me since its my first gig .

 

 

If the psy scene starts giving me back what i spended in it ( a lot of money) and praise my work

i will start to gain more money to buy more original cds .

Protex Midget : i know my set is very comercial but thats what the organizer wants,he told me to bring a lot of infected m and israeli stuff , i would like to play more progressive stuff but right now people here on Mexico wants full on .

how about improvising instead of making a pre-prepared set?

 

improvisation is one of the more important skills of a good Dj!

I agree with Mr Hanky, you have to react to the dancers, and if you've made up your mind before that you've got no chance of doing so. Set lists are bad, mm'kay ? ;-)

Hey Mijiis i have an idea for you... i did my self the first times i had bigger gigs..

 

prepare like 45 min or one hour just, just so you feel secure and get that nervous feelings put far back by you dancing

 

..and hey dont use all you new killers in the first hours save them for when the crowd is cooking and wanting

i knew he would be using MP3s in his set, and no-ones critize him yet. Would n't the quality be noticeable. I put a post earlier about using Mp3s in sets and the majority say it is very unprofessional.

Para : professional means when you do something and they pay you , since i am not gonna be paid my set will be "unprofessional" .

as soon as i get "professional" i will spend more money in originals , now give me a break and let me enjoy this as an "unprofessional".

 

Preus : good idea i will play 1:30 my prepared set and i will improvise 30 minutes . Its gonna be like an experiment , i hope it will work.

RELAX MIJIIS u didn't mention that originally, in that case it looks a bit bettr. But U can't blame me for assuming u were gonna get paid for a gig. Beside I definitely thought u were getting paid if ur playing with big acts like talamasca.
