I'm not being unfair, quite the opposite. I'm informing people who might be interested in this cd. If they feel like buying you a new cd from saiko instead of paying few euros, indeed they can do that.

I personaly prefere not to set the message you mean invisible. This would (imho of course) be censorship. There is no rule here that forbids pointing out good deals in buyer/seller topics, no matter if it's about offering the same CD for a better price yourself or pointing people to a place that does it.

I don't want to be bitchy or anything but if you want to rip people off like that it's not a surprise that you get replies pointing that out. Just because it's your topic doesn't mean you can decide what or who is allowed to be posted in it (censorhip!). You said yourself people have the choice if they wanna trade with you, they still have it now. It's just that you can't take advantage of people who didn't see the Quirk topic in the general section.

if you can get a cd for 1 cent then you couldn't charge someone full price knowingly so

old school rarities is a different story but have got those also

picked me up a blue planet corp cd for 10 cents once on amazon

How many times have people posted they are selling cds and posted prices and then others started to complain it's too expensive? yes the public has the right to know but I don't think that asking for one new CD in exchange for that Quirk album is a rip off. Even if he bought it for one cent and paid for shipping etc he has only made very little monetary value if he is trading it for one new cd....and what is so wrong in making some money anyways? As long as the deal makes sense to the seller and buyer I think it's fine. Tatsu I qite remember you asking for pretty hefty prices a while ago (I believe they were for vinyl releases, something like 40-50 Euro). There's no whay you paid that much for them if you got them new in a store. I thought you were asking too much but I minded my own business and let someone else buy it from you if he/she wants to. If we continue to thread-crap at this velocity noone will sell anything any more because of the hustle he faces.

No but selling everything for 2 euros is not realistic to expect. Maybe soltion would be to have a separate pinned thread on top where all people that want to share good deals post links where they are so everyone can see it and then once someone wants to sell something is not bothered in his thread and can maybe make a better decision what price to charge.

There is one thing you don't seem to understand: It doesn't matter if I think it's a rip-off or not, or if I agree to a trade or not. If he finds somebody who agrees to the deal, that's fine with me. Still I don't think it's my job as mod to censor people who point out a better deal than the one offered here. As Mike said himself, people have a choice if they wanna trade with him or not, this includes finding a better deal imho.

 

And about my own tradings: as I've said it doesn't matter if the deal is fair or not from my point of view, the point is that I will not censor the users here when they show traders a better deal. I've paid bigger amounts for rare vinyls so to each his own. I haven't sold vinyl in ages, there are a few CD trading threads by me but I never asked 40 or 50 Euros per CD. The last trade I've opened was about rare CDs and I asked people to make me offers for them since I was in need for money. I doubt you mean that one so I'm either having a very bad memory (which might be possible ), or you missplace me somehow.

Pedro's case was merely an example, any fair offer will do (Pedro being an ultimate example in prices).

 

Separate pinned thread doesn't sound too smart idea to me. It's just more effort to go through it and probably many wouldn't even check it out that often.

 

There's just no point in complaining if somebody shows a better deal. It's only about giving an option for the buyer where to choose from.

I still like it better then someone thread crapping while I try to sell something. I kind of find that rude. The kind of a pinned thread I discribed would maybe give me a better information how to price my stuff before I have it for sale too and give the same info to the buyers...and if the buyers are lazy to check it..well who's to blame?

I do understand your point but maybe you didn't get mine. I'm saying there should be a way to let the public know of a good deal, but there should be a better time and place then just crap in someone's post. Have a look at my other post. Maybe pinned thread with everyone sharing good deals and leaving sellers alone would be is a good solution. I wanna stress I'm not trying to defend The Journey Man here. I'm seeing more and more of this behavior here and some kind of solution should be implemented.

dude you accused of not paying for some cd's like a week agao... when in reality, as I said in that thread, I had told you at the time I couldn;t afford t and we agreed the deal was off... you brough ti back up to antagonise me... if you don;t want people to "bite at the drop of a hat" don;t antagonise them... which is what yu did in your other thread, and you are doing it here... I'd like you to stay away from my trading and sales threads please... you are not welcome to do any deals with me so you have no reason to post in them
