Guest firgo
Can anyone tell me some drum n bass artists who make hard and totaly dark d&b with a psychedelic touches....I have heard some great shit on the radio(Ed Rush and Optical with the Virus crew - Essential mix on Radio 1) and i was stoned how dark and powerfull and also psychedelic that music can be....that music has more power than all the minimal stuff out there, including Spirallianz(that says it all) and more intense than all the full on stuff together!!! So,anyone know more about this shit....artists,tracks,albums,compilations???? ps.Thank God I recorded the mix and now i'm listening to it non-stop...I think that Ed rush says something like"the future of Drum n Bass sound"....is this real??does it exist?? i can't wait for your help guys....thanks in advance. Highly recomended music for all who are at least a little open minded!!!!!!
Guest :EA:
I just got The Crystal Method's Tweekend and find it very psychedelic at times, with really hard, crispy, fat beats and sounds. There's a little bit of singing on it that I could've done without, but at least it's not horribly cheesy.

Guest llazi
Hey, I'm a great fan o Ed Rush & Optical since 1997. They totally bring the best of drum'n'bass out, but u can't say they are psy or even compare them with spirallianz. Althoght lately drum'n'bass has lost his primal power. But anyway if you don't know them allready check also Technical Itch AK1200 Dieselboy Konflict Decoder ...... and about that future of drum'n'bass, that's just the MC bringin some kewl rhymes out. Guest Dr. Krelm
Acid Rockers - Mind Set CD (released on Blue Room) V/A - Freekstyle compilation (also on Blue Room) Eat Static - Science of the Gods album Deviant Electronics - Blunt Instruments (really only one dark d&b track on it) Sibilant - Proper Filth CD (old, but damn good) On the non-psy tip, Stakka & Skynet do some really nice crunchy dark d&b. Guest Buttwax
Try Koe - Trespass or maybe it's not dark enough for you http://www.exogenic.com
Guest Noope
I don't know know if it is what you're looking for, however square pusher and aphex twin made some amazing psychedelic dnb
Guest Buttwax
Yes! Squarepusher is MENTAL. Listen to "Greenways Trajectory" from "Go Plastic" at full volume (the whole track!!!). Blows your sox off, if your speakers can handle it. Just what the doctor ordered.
Guest evan
squarepusher and aphex twin... it's IDM which has very little to do with DNB actually.
Guest spacemonkey
try Odd Harmonic - Coincidentalism, and The Nam Shub of Enki - Fuck piece. both are psychedelic and heavily DnB influenced, but i have to warn you that they might be a bit weird for your taste. otherwise Digitalis - the third state (=side project of shakta) and Joujouka -Joujouka are both psytrance with DnB mixed. And deviant electronics and acid rockers as mentioned above.

Guest jo
I think drum'n'bass will borrow *alot* from psy trance in its coming years.. If you want some really complicated dnb with some good effects/mood.. Check out Dom & Roland - imagination, archaeon, soundwall VIP look for stuff by kemal, stakka & skynet, technical itch, bad company, concord dawn.. def find those tracke by dom & roland.. really define the power electronic music can obtain
