Guest Daniel
I was just wondering if anyone here is a fan of Autechre. I discovered them while searching for ambient type albums on amazon.com. I've downloaded some songs to get a feel for them and I like their style. Anyway, I was just seein if anyone else here was a fan.

Guest ~EA
I discovered Autechre about five years ago. I remember being amazed at this sound I'd never heard before (Chiastic Slide), which reminded me of decaying utopian architecture. It lead to so much wonderful music over the years. If you like them you should check out the other interesting stuff on the Warp label - after you've explored Autechre a little. Congratulations on your discovery. Guest m
What it boils down to is he can be defined by his deepest/darkest song, "Windowlicker," without which, he'd be nothing more than your average Joe. I've owned his albums, which in a way have led me to Pychedelic Trance.... At some point, you must realize he's nothing more than a step in the way.... Anyway, I'm back. *cheer* *cheer* Long holiday, and I'm glad to still be around. It's been crazy (Too embarrassing to describe). How's everyone? Any wild experiences to share? Snusnu? Schism? EA? EP? Anton? edu? v4K? Goagabba? Ciotera? moni? Strumpling? And everyone else who I can't remember? Bruce? Any dirty comments you want to throw in there? Guest ~EA
I think you're confusing Autechre with Aphex Twin, m. Which is understandable, I suppose, since they're both on Warp and both start with "A." Welcome back.

Guest DeeperNETWERK
That picture of Richard D. James with a female body is pretty funny though. And all the fat black chicks dancing around. hahahahaha... Autechre = Great stuff Deeper..
Guest woutski
Autechre's earliest work is their best IMO. Check out the Incunabula and Amber albums...2 highlights in the history of electronic non-dance music. Much better than the intellectual masturbation clicks & cutz 'music' they produce these days. Guest Daniel
Anyone suggest any good songs by the for me to check out...?
Guest Soulhunter
Like Woutski said, their earlier work is the best. On the Tri Repetae album are Dael, Rotar and Eutow the best picks. The best tracks on Incunabula are Bike and Basscadet. I would buy the albums if I were you. You won't regret.
Guest PSYBORG
AUTECHRE ROCKZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KICK ASS!!! FUCKING GOOD INDUSTRIAL - AMBIENT. The best track is "teartear" "doctrine" "rotar" "eutow"" the kalpol intro" dark obscure and nostalgic. Have you tried Boards of Canada?
