Guest regbar Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 hi I look for ambient trax or groups which seems to be celestial music : when u listen to this kind of tracks , u seem to swim in the clouds , u know what i mean :-) With a software , i have composed an extract of 20sec of the kind of music i look for , if u want i can send it , send me an email :-) PEACE Quote
Guest ~EA Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 "Celestial" to me sounds like "New Age," which isn't a bad thing, just as long as you know what you're looking for. Perhaps John Serrie is a good start. Also, David Arkenstone's "Valley in the Clouds" is by far the best New Age I've ever heard. It's the sort of stuff you hear in planetariums, which to me is a very good thing, given the right mood. I've got other suggestions, but I'll stop there, just in case I'm way off on the New Age thing. Quote
Guest Quazzi Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 Hey EA, do you know where i can listen to some samples of that guy's music?! Seems interesting. Quote
Guest C.F Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 Robert Rich, Steve Roach, Thom Brennan........ Quote
Guest slave2rave Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 regbar, take a listen to Healer. It's a very nice album, and your description reminded me of the sensations i felt when hearing this album. Have a nice trip Quote
Guest Zaramatu Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 Klaus Schulze - Mirage Ashra - New Age of Earth Nodens Ictus - Spacelines Steve Hillage - Rainbow Dome Musick Constance Demby - Aeterna This genre of music is normally called "cosmic music" or "space-music" BTW... Quote
Guest Bahamut Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 cool, anyone want to hear my own new-agy track? I will post it here if someone replies Jonn/John Serrie - And the stars go with you... with my favorite peaceful cloudy celestial track: 'Stratos' Constance Demby - Novus Magnificat Michael Stearns - Encounter Quote
Guest Bahamut Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 allright it's just a little tune that is based on an older track from me, just listen with headphones and don't expect too much... but I think it can be classified as "celestial music" hehe http://people.zeelandnet.nl/rverpl/Bahamut...ent%20Angel.mp3 Quote
shpongled Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 That's really good track Bahamut.... maybe little short. Quote
ouroboros Posted January 10, 2003 Posted January 10, 2003 well they may be older but you cant go wrong with stuff like future sound of london and kitaro Quote
Guest Quazzi Posted January 10, 2003 Posted January 10, 2003 WWOOWW!!!! Bahamut, beautifull song!!! Nice work. :-) Quote
Guest airy-fairy Posted January 10, 2003 Posted January 10, 2003 Global Communication--anything,but especially '76:14'-that's the name of the cd! Quote

Guest ~EA Posted January 10, 2003 Posted January 10, 2003 I'll second the Global Communication album. Bahamut's Stearns suggestion is also a good one, in my opinion. A *fantastic* celestial (space) ambient album from 2002 is James Johnson and Robert Scott Thompson's "Forgotten Places." ***** Quote
Guest Bahamut Posted January 10, 2003 Posted January 10, 2003 ~EA do you know Robert Scott Thompson - Frontier and how do you like it? Quote
Guest ~EA Posted January 11, 2003 Posted January 11, 2003 I don't know that one, Bahamut. Sorry. But I've read really good things about it. Lovely track, by the way. Quote
Guest Bahamut Posted January 11, 2003 Posted January 11, 2003 yeah I've read about it too thanks Quote

Guest Bahamut Posted January 11, 2003 Posted January 11, 2003 hey regbar if you want real floating and trippy music I suggest the following timeless track: Klaus Schulze - Floating I can't imagine any psytrance-lover not liking this Quote
Guest Farewell Posted January 12, 2003 Posted January 12, 2003 Hey Bahamut, nice tune man! Do you have another track like this? Quote
