Guest Gavin
If you want to be open-minded, and if you would´nt refuse a good advice (ultimatively depending on the wideness of your musical taste), i could actually recommend some alternative rock, that is both intelligent, extremely musical and maybe important: Totally uncommercial. The band itself is called Godspeed your black emperor! Its canadian (Montreal) and releases on a label called Constellation records (Montreal). I listen to this music if im in a kind of upset-with-society mood, anyway i think an open mind would enjoy the greatness in this music. Look at www.brainwashed.com/godspeed

Guest aricz
50% of the music i listen to is psytrance/goa. The rest, old computermusic; sids, which is the sound of commodore 64. mod/xm/s3m/it, the good'ol trackers:). Some adlib-music, atari st, nes-music and so on. The sound of the old computers! Guest veridia
Yeah some synth tunes are good... Suicide Commando - comatose delusion (Hocico remix) is good. The new Iris song is great. Although I think VNV Nation - Standing is way better than Genesis. I also like some eurodance / & older synthpop like the occassional Depeche Mode or Pet Shop Boys type stuff. Guest Kristian
A pity there is no good melodic trance released nowadays though. Most of it is too monoton or very clubby. What I want is tracks I mentioned in my list, both very melodic and psychedelic. Therefor I'm turning my interested more and more towards the synthscene because it is very much becoming more and more influed by good old melodic trance. Just check some of the tracks in the list above. And hard EBM is almost as great as oldschool trance to get off by at parties. But sometimes the lyrics in the synthmusic destroys the "dance-happiness". To be honest: There's absolutely nothing like good old melodic trance at parties! Hopefully it will come back once again, seemes like everything runs in circles, music, fashion and lifestyles.
Guest q
Well I am closed minded than, in a way. When it comes down to this I listen to everything, I like everything, but when i go to the store I buy either goa or ambient.... But I have other CDs, but what do I listen to most....goa or ambient, I guess I abuse the freedom to listen to whatever I want. But I am not going to hang myself if i have no option but to listen to radio or MTV or what not. I just set my mind into a mode and tell myself, " OK all that I see, and all that I hear, on radio and MTV, watch it and learn, to never do stuff like that and not to be a person like that" ... I am serious. I mean if I am stock in a car or anywhere where they play their JUNK, that was made with a lot of money to make even more money. I will just hear them and see them for who they are - greedy individuals who don't care for others , and do all this to be stinking rich. I personnally don't understand the music that was made for like HUNDREDS of THOUSHANDS of dollars, to make a cheesy video or song like....(insert name here) when there are people in NEED on this planet. I don't get that self deniyng stupidity and money filthyness.
