NextWorld
She heard "Solar Fields - Leaving Home" some days ago, and really liked it (Its the first electronic music she likes...). But it still was to much beats for her, so she asked me if i had any CDs without any hint of a beat. ive browsed through my chill collection and recognized that there isn't any music (except for some songs...) that is really beatless... i really need some recommendations in this direction....abasio maybe? Thanks-a-lot!
Guest antic
From Ultimae I could recommend Sync24's album - there's just one or two tracks with gentle rhythm. Also, the forthcoming Ian Ion's (ex-Koxbox) album seems beatless.
Insejn
You can always try to find Zvuki Belovodya. I doubt that CD (which I have downloaded and can't find anywhere) ever got released. But if she doesn't mind burned CDs what the hell. The project "Sounds of Belovodye" appeared in 1998, as a gradual transformation of a psy trance project "Makumashi". The participants of the project are Gevorg Emin and Andrei Ryazanov. Having a vast experience of trips into forests, mountains and valleys they decided to turn their impressions of these mystical encounters with Nature into music. The project became an expression of the feelings, thoughts and emotional experiences, which emerged as the result of an inner formation and a search for the Way. If you want to hear it PM me. abasio
Well, most albums commonly referred to as beatless to have traces of beats. Very soft percussion here & there. Most people that want that still call it beatless In this vein look at Solar Fields - Extended Matt Coldrick & Matt Hillier - Elemental Journey Rena Jones - Driftwood Ishq - Orchid For albums even closer to beatless try (these albums only have vague hints of a beat in a few moments) Ishvara - Magik Square of the Sun Various - Collection 1 : Opening Dreamfish - Dreamfish Elve - Infinite Garden Adham Shaikh - Journey To The Sun for really spacey drone ambient that is just about beatless try Mathias Grassow & Thomas Weiss - Insights beatless but maybe too dark Robert Rich & B.Lustmord - Stalker actually scrap that last recommendation, I'm sure she'll hate it but you never know. Click the links for more descriptions on each one edit: a lot of non electronic friends have liked the Rena Jones album

Anoebis
Go for Biosphere, his older work like Substrata, warm atmospheres and no beats at all... Also Orgship from Solar quest has lots of beatless tracks, and the ones with beat are also very chilly/not disturbing

amphiton
I wanted to recommend Ishq/Elve/Ishvara, but Abasio was faster =)
RTP
Concerning really beatless stuff I only know drone ambient ... and that's mostly dark and I don't think she'll like that. Carbon Based Lifeforms - Rise To Tomorrow might be something
Ormion
Ishq-Orchid Only the first track has a soft beat. The rest of the tracks are beatless.

phobium
You should check out www.bluemars.org, and listen to the "bluemars" and the "cryosleep" channel. That should provide you with a few names worth checking out.

seraph
The old school ambient crew like BRIAN ENO, KLAUS SCHULZE, BILL LASWELL, PETE NAMLOOK, BIOSPHERE, TETSU INOUE, ROBERT RICH, DR.ATMO would fit her taste, beatless or not, it is very sophisticated ambient music, cream crop of ambient and cosmic soundscapes...
