Guest Bob Normal
Okay I recently got a hold of '96 PULSE compilation and it really turned me on to that kind of goa, well not exactly that , cause that stuff is so old chool or whatever. Anyway can someone please recomend me some groups, albums, compilations where goa trance is very high toned, I mean where there is A LOT of acid sounds, 303 I believe or is it 808....well, I have Doof Let's turn on....stuff like that I guess, but a bit faster and ACIDier NOT heavier. But not like Hallucinogen's Twisted they have acid sounds, 303s or whatever, but they are not high pitched the way I like it. You know really loud acid drops, and squeeks and what not, that feel like they get inside of your ears and scratch your brain. I guess the only examples I can provide is that PULSE compilation from 96 that I recently got my hands on after not hearing it for so long, also DOOF let's turn on lbum, is sounds kinda like it. I hope I was descriptive, also anyone know good download sites for mp3 tracks? If anyone wants Pulse volume 1 or DOOF "let's turn on" I will be more than happy to share it with you via internet after converting it into mp3, in exchange for some stuff that I look for or PULSE any volume, or Global Psychedelic Trance earlier editions.... Thanks
Guest psycle
First off...if ur gonna get ur music on mp3 format...therez no point in listening to psytrance as half the fun lies in the ORIGINAL stuff. so lets support the artist for a bit shall we? and if u like Doof - Lets turn on, check out Cosmosis - Cosmology...similar sounding stuff. Guest me
Dude that's nice. first of all I strongly support your view. Second of all I was looking for freely distributed music on the web, like astral projection on MP3.com, and Infected shroom e.t.c so I wanted to know if anyone else knows any stuff like that, or artists sites where they post their music, I found some artists, just post their music directly on their sites instead of mp3.com and other stuff another thing is I believe making few copies of a CD and sharing it with someone is not a crime, first of all I am LEGALLY ALLOWED to make few copies af a CD that I bought, for PERSONAL use, I can freely give it away to a single person if I wish to, you got the things mixed up, it's illegal to make copies and SELL them. Which I of course have no intention of doing. So let's not run around accusing people of stuff, shall we
Guest .:::EP
Sorry me or Bob Normal you are the one that got it mixed up.... Yes it is legal to copy a CD for yourself as a spare copy but it is NOT legal to give it to a friend not even when you don't sell it..... So you see you are wrong dude. ouroboros
and you can not listen to it with anyone else. if they didnt pay for it and own a copy themselves then they have to leave the room or car when you want to play the cd.
Guest psycle
Bob, I respect the fact that you want to explore goa trance, but if you must give your friends a copy of a CD, please tell them to purchase it the first chance they get. If not, I am sorry to say that soon there will be no goa trance for people to enjoy cuz the artists won't be making any money which will probably result in no more music. Guest w
Okay hear this: I appologize for starting this..... I don't want it to go on and evolve into a bad vibe I absolutely agree with you that if an artist published a CD than he should get his/her money for it. Usually I wouldn't 've asked for this, but 50 percent of my request was for legal free music distributed on the web. Like Infected Mushroom on mp3.com, two full length albums for free, (ain't it great). So I ask for stuff like that. I also take back any request for other stuff, trades and links to sites with illegal copies of albums. So I just want links to FREE music, ( not on mp3.com ) and suggestions I requested earlier. I hope you can understand the reason for my request, because number one I am on a very tight budget, number two it's hard to find a CD that I can hear first before buying, thus avoiding the fact of throwing my money on something I don't even know what's inside type of deal. So I respect your opinion as well. I hope there is no misunderstandings now. I AM SORRY well I guess that's it........if you still want to speak to me about ANYTHING...please do so
Guest psycle
no worriez:) as i said earlier...check out cosmosis. he sounds a lot like doof. also check out etnica and their other acts. im sure u already have astral projection. the best thing u can do is go to the "goa reviews" section and check for albums/compils that came out around 94-97...that should give u a couple of "Goa" artists to work with. as for the links, i suggest you try some online radio stations pumping out some psy. i don't really know of anything that offers only 'goa'...nor of any free music sites but im sure someone out here will come to the rescue sometime soon. Guest konysus
to EP you siad it was ILLEGAL to make a copy for yourself but actually you are allowed to make a copy for yourself, because you've already paid for the right to listen to the music on the cd, so if you want one copy for the car and one for your room thats ok. also if you distribute it to your friends then you ARE breaching copyright , which gives the owner of that copy right, the artist, powers over copying and distribution of his work ( however as i've already siad in some circumstances and for limited pruposes, copying is ok) so...bob and me are actually right. Guest .:::EP
konysus read my post again !!!! I said: "Yes it is legal to copy a CD for yourself as a spare copy but it is NOT legal to give it to a friend not even when you don't sell it"
Guest rx7style
Actually I'm quite sure that the laws for ALL copyrighted data, whether music, software, whatever, is you can distribute copies freely to whomever you'd like. They may use that copy for whatever they need to as long as they DESTROY their copy within 24 hours of obtaining it. If they hold it for more than a second longer, they are breaking a law. So if I rip some vinyl I have to .OGG format and send it to a friend for them to listen, there has not yet been anything illegal done. However, 24 hours later if my friend still has that copy and/or my copy is anywhere else other than stored in my own personal backup/storage receptacle(s), I have also broken a law. I worked in a law office for a while and I'm pretty sure this is how it works.
Guest .:::EP
You're properly right rx7style but we also know that no one erase the music after 24 hours .-)
Guest enough
OKAY PEOPLE, I believe this argument was SOLELY between me and Psycle. I also believe we solved it in a civilized manner right Psycle So if everyone would please stop using my topic for mp3 legal rights discussion please, I will be very thankful. I believe there is a seperate topic on this very board about this matter. So please direct your opinions there. So if you gonna post here please post only in regard to my recent requests thank You which are music suggestions and free legal mp3 sites with goa trance music Please no more arguments about mp3s and such. And thank you people who gave me suggestions on music and stuff, i really appreciate it and I copied it down. I will start researching these albums.
