Drosophila Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 I have been wanting to buy some releases from this label for a long time, but I never seem to come around to do it... now that has to be changed, so now I need help to pick some I have a limited budged so I can't just buy them all as some might suggest but I can afford a few 2-3 CDs... So which of the availble once should I get (I will buy it through Ultimae's shop ) Quote

The Circular Ruins - Realm of Possibility, Empathy Test & The Alchemy Concert The Circular Ruins are my favourite artist on the label. Lush ambient soundscapes Cymphonic - Strataradialis This is one of my favourite albums from 2007, very visual I'd choose from these if you fancy the very ambient sounds or Waki - Music For Waki People or Mutagene - Sleeping Possessions if you want more beats & energy Quote

Not really, it's glitch ambient, might be some resemblance but it's more minimal I would say. Haven't listened much to Escape kit so it's hard for me to compare aswell. All I know is that I prefer them over Escape kit, you just have to hear out, gently down the stream, second track! It's fucking awesome. edit: went on to somnias website, yes there is much resemblance, you'll definitely like them if you like escape kit. Quote

The Alchemy Concert & Falling Into The Sky are fantastic. 2 albums I enjoy time and time again Land Of The Blind & Realm Of Possibility are merely great I probably like Land Of The Blind a bit more. Today I received an order I placed at DataObscura's web shop I got The Circular Ruins - Confluence The Winterhouse - Sanctuary Robert Davies - Terrestre Nunc Stans and Mystified - One Thousand Dreams Nunc Stans - The Unnamable Robert Davies - Gallery of Spirits Nunc Stans - Meridian The Winterhouse - Lost Nunc Stans - Timeless and Various - Portraits although it's not a DataObscura release. I have been listening to these all day and I am very happy with the music here. Nunc Stans is great and Robert Davies - Gallery Of Spirits is even better than I was hoping Quote
