Drew05
Cujorius One is some of the sickest trance I've heard make sure you check out their recent album, The Art of Mindfucking they got some tracks on a Cosmic Conspiracy compilation too, worth checking out
alleycat
Ive had a K.U.R.O. track on an old Spirit Zone comp for years now, never realized it! Nice one, and I stuck it in a mix, 'Mind Garden' from Global Psychedelic Trance vol 5. I've also discovered quite a bit of what I guess you could call 'techno that happens to be psychedelic'. By artists outside the psychedelic scene per se, but nonetheless make some pretty trippy stuff... Mainly Ive been digging around the Spanish netlabel Antiritmo, where I've found Kuniaki Takenaga, Hiroshi Oki, Dosem, RogerM, Ivar Oh!, and a bunch of other nice stuff. Check it out, its all free (but only 320k mp3). www.antiritmo.com
Jikkenteki
If you can manage to hunt it down I strongly recomment K.U.R.O. - Satisfaction. This is definately one of my top three tech albums that gets in regular rotation, after The Delta's two albums.
alleycat
Haha, funny you should mention that, I just was looking at Satisfaction, there's quite a few available on Discogs for pretty cheap. I think one was asking 5 euro for one in good condition.
Drew05
it's good to see some support for Cujorius One i've been meaning to make an Appreciation thread for them listing some of their sicker tracks their use of open/close hi-hats combos is criminal, such nice sliding between beats and i love their basslines, really sounds deep and full, sort of like Reefer Decree (must be a Danish thing) what are some of you guy's favourite Cujorius One tracks? It is a compilation made of 9 tracks of slow, dark and progressive rhythm, musically characterized as Tech Trance. The "VA Supermarket" compilation is meant to present the industrialized and slower sound from what we've used to hear coming from this label. Like previously stated, this will be the last release of Ultiva in internet free download form. In fact, the vision of the label, from the very beginning, was to unite on the same "sound carriers" the affirmed names of the trance scene with unknown and newly developed projects, so the listeners could be given the parallel comparison of the ideas and production quality between the participants of the compilation. For some, this entire project was a "starting point" for further promotion and work in the world; for others, it was just another compilation in the line in voluntary form, where the very essence of the respect and the will for cooperation came in the clear, even with those who just "flew" in the whole story. Beside their generosity, artists didn't lack with their tracks either, which were, without considering their free releasing, bound with the sort of "online" contracts to consolidate the seal of cooperation and justify the product of the project. So, the project comes to the finish with this fourth compilation, and after that Ultiva label will be registered in the list of "digital/CD recording" record labels. Of course, not considering the free download of previous compilations, the listeners have shown a certain respect and the unexpected transfer of the releases. We thank all for that, and Ultiva hopes to further draw the attention of many, now that the concept is in much "up to date" form. Many, who followed the work of this label, may wonder, in positive or negative concept: how did the change of style come to occur on this fourth release? The experimentation is the key to a success. The measure of success will show the release itself, which will be released in the middle of February, but for now, we can only show you what's this all about via this artist list of the compilation. http://www.ultivarecords.com/VA_Supermarke...ds_mp3_2008.rar

'The Art of Mindfucking' is one of my favorites, as well as that one on the live set with the 'Dead Marshes' samples, ooh, thats a beautifully creepy track... Don't know the names to a lot of their stuff, but I love it. If anyone is missing their Live in Copenhagen in early 06 set, go here: www.cujorius.dk/live mu-mu-mu-mu-MMMMIIIINNNNDDDDD-FFFFFUUUUCCCCKKKK-IIINNNGG VA-Supermarket is a must-have, as well! And if you're so inclined, theres even the 24bit/48khz .wavs available on Ektoplazm, for a short while. (Can't burn that quality to a CD, but if you use Traktor or Serato, DO go for it!) dhollmusik
Yeah! I love this sound as well but it's difficult to pigeonhole: I remember hearing some percussive psychedelic stuff which had the techno vibe (no 16-bar structures, just hypnotic flow) - sadly i was too foooooked to ask the dj some producer names. Some Dronebixie comes close.
