Go listen to CHILDREN OF THE LAST GENERATION and come back and say that is cheesy. :P

I won't even comment about WE CREATED OUR OWN HAPPINESS... a little bit better ? It is frikkin' amazin'. :P

I guess considering when the music was made I have to be more respectful, but I still can't listen to it for fun. I have a hard time with the really early stuff across the board, except Juno Reactor's early work starting with Transmissions.

I have no problem with any early stuff whether is old school trance or goa trance, that music back then defined the genre now, and even though the production quality is not as pleasing as nowadays, those melodies from the past bring positive vibes and much pleasant feel. I actually have hard time accepting the new stuff, cause it lacks depth and musical wisdom. I have hard time accepting copy/paste music and very rarely something innovative and engaging happens these days. :D

Ah yes the heady days of the last decade. I have to agree. Too much formula, not enough emotion and dare I say it? Soul

The X-Dream tack that always takes me back is "Imagine the whole world on a trip together" - was X-Dream wasn't it? Memory ain't what it used to be

I have a love hate with X-Dream, sometimes their music is easily accessed other times I find it very difficult to get into. But I agree with an earlier comment, they still have a lot of production in them - still to come I hope. And the fact that they can push the genre in so many different directions just shouts volumes about their musical and sound design ability.

Are they Full-On in the modern sense, well I suspect that they are well outside such simple labels surely? My thinking is that the guys who try and be full on or proggy or whatever are looking for a box with a formula, I am thinking that the guys who just get on and make interesting and wonderful music without sticking to categories, well they are the 'real' musicians who are doing it to make wonderful music (no allusions to the sample in POP or was that Delta Project)
