Xevated Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Hi everyone! :posford: Well i have been away from music for some time now. Hopefully i will have more time for my music now! :drama: Anyway here is my new track "Rise Up" Genre: Goa (I hope... ) All feedback is appreciated! www.psytracks.com/xevated Quote
Aeros Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 You betcha its goa. Great track! Only complaints are that the progression is abit linear in a few places, mostly the percussions being minimal, like at 5:20 and around 6:00 I was expecting the beat to pick up, try some 16ths with closed hats. Where you ended the track I was also expecting abit of a break and an explosion into a climax, you could keep taking the track. You could also benefit from some sweeping pads and things like that. Put a flanger on one of them if you're not "hearing it" Otherwise, good sound, keep it up! Gonna check your other tracks now Quote
Xevated Posted February 23, 2008 Author Posted February 23, 2008 Thanks for the feedback! Great ideas! Gonna play around some more with the track and see if i can evolve it some more! :posford: Stay tuned for "Rise Up Mk.2"! Quote
Melancholyman Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 Nice one I have been listening to you're Altered State alot! It's a great track, very curious about this one! Quote
Xevated Posted February 23, 2008 Author Posted February 23, 2008 Thank you! always nice to hear people enjoying my music! Btw.. Uploaded "Rise Up" (Mk.2) made some changes and extended it with 2 minutes.. Thanks to Synogen for the inspiration to "Rise Up" (Mk.2)! :posford: Quote
orthodox Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Good track :posford: I like the "breath" snare. Psy idea Chaotic goa sequencers. Like the old good time I would like some more "solo". But this is my personal taste. :posford: Quote
Bioshift Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Fun Stuff! Nice Work! :clapping: Wow!!! This Sounds Alot Like Hallucinogen, I Like That. More Please! Woot! Quote
Psyvox Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 haha wicked track! it's really good, I'm so happy to see ppl are still making nice neo-goa music. I loved the instruments and their gating, really coherent and well designed. good job! only a few things I can suggest - maybe a more powerful bass, louder hats and maybe some leads playing a melody (but that's only because I'm a huge fan of melodies ) Quote
