amphiton
What would you recommend among dub/dubtronika? Classics as well as newer stuff would be much appreciated, though I'm can't stand rastaman/reggae samples. Thank you
amphiton
Personally, I just loved Liquid Stranger's "The Invisible Conquest" @ Interchill, 2007. Liquid Stranger is Martin Stääf, half of Necton. 'if i was making dubtronica i would be making this' ishq 'beautifully produced bottom heavy psy dubtronica, intrinsically layered with soundscapes and pepperings of sonic beauty.....by far one of my favourite releases of the year.' dj dakini Nothing more to say about this album

amphiton
maybe this will help you ^ No, it didn't. I love these 2 older releases: Ashtech - Walking Target (Interchill) Direct Connection - Dub Infection (Candyflip) Ashtech isn't old, it's 2007. are u looking for real dub? Yes. Why did you think I wasn't?
Drosophila
Yes. Why did you think I wasn't? Oh well because u said u didn't want "rastaman/reggae samples". And dub is instrumental dubed-up reggae in a sense, so if u want real dub it will be a bit difficult to avoid reggae samples, if u mean that literally that is?! ED: not a problem not having rastaman samples though
amphiton
*writes down dub definition* OK. Real dub, unreal dub and dubtronica (whatever that means).

Still very good!) Mad Professor vs. Massive Attack - No Protection Have a look down here, haven't checked it out completely, but looks like a decent list. http://sleepbot.com/ambience/page/compdub.html

Snapinho
Ah yeah, good point, I edited the Mad P. vs MA album in my list. It would be unfair to mention Lee Perry, King Tubby, Augustus Pablo and not Mad Professor.

Thanx. true should have known about the 3 letter word, says a lot more about me then you you are searching for artist categorized under psychedelic ambient and use a more dub pattern when it comes to baseline ? correct or ? not: you search for music categorized as original dub, like those on the list and some others posted, but the most psychedelic one's ? to me all dub is psychedelic so that's it... Nurbs
Generally the french dub scene is offering top acts, already mentioned, like Kaly Live Dub, Zenzile and High Tone. A collaboration between Zenzile and High Tone aka zentone ,definably worthed to check it... Some examples of their music : zenzile Kaly Live Dub High Tone
