Guest C.F
What is cheesy for you? I Know that's a topic frequently proposed, but I just want to know what's your definition of cheezy music.

Guest hippo
cheese is cheap melodies that can be considered more or less club trance with a slight psychedelic touch
Guest WSTE_M
Ticon, Yahel, and Astral p. most Destionation Goa and Goa Head compinations. oh and anything that has guitars in it. W

Guest unikos
what youre talking about people is not cheese.... there are FAR more cheesier things coming out... i mean "uplifting" -"israeli" trance.. in greece its full of that (or at least it was until recently cause i heard that uplifting parties in athens have stopped).. im talking about "artists" like cyan, starchildren, mike verros(athens favorite cheese dj) and this kind of "music"
Guest Daniel
Hey WSTE_M how is the NEW Infected Mushroom cheesy? There new album is less melodic....I suppose your refering to BP Empire. I just don't see where your comming from. Yahal, Etnica, Astral Projection are all on the cheesy side but I don't find them "annoyingly cheesy", it's good cheese....kinda like a good ol' Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Guest WSTE_M
Daniel: I was mostly thinking of the new single Birthday, and BP Empire. The Gathering and Classical Mushroom can be "concidered" (as if they are not) real Goa. W
Guest Daniel
Oh yeah I completely agree with you that the Birthday EP is major cheese, and not to mention the songs were very disapointing....hopefully there new double LP "Converting Vegetarians" will show their true colors again. I'm listening to Yahel right now and I certainly don't mind his cheesiness...like I said it's very tolerable due the high energy and mood of his songs. Guest Hallucinogenious
Yahel is releasing new album Yahel - Hallucinate WSTE_M everything that had guitars in it ? hahah i dont think you're listening to serious music .. So Ozric Tentacles are cheesy ... and the 6stringadelica comp. was cheesy althought it has some great tunes ... but it has guitars so its cheesy. Someone said Manmademan, Astral Projection ... maybe the progressive, minimal wave of our days has taken over you, but let me remind you that this stuff is Goa as it was at its begging. Thats pure goa. Full of good melodies ... Not that shit that we have nowadays minimal, progressive, techno ... I agree with unikos. If you listen to that kind of music you'll discover the term of 'chessy'
Guest Amit_t
absolutely agree with hallucinogenious AP are lords of trance guyz ... they were making music on ataris !! and Etnica is cheesy ........ get outta here!!
Guest TjT
Electro Panic Dunno what the fuss is about this track. If only they took out the sample it woudlnt be so bad. Too catchy to be psychedelic trance if you ask me.
shpongled
Happy melodies (major?) are usually cheesy, samples from movies are most of the times cheesy... it also depends how they are used, long 16th note snare rolls that goes from quiet to loud are cheesy, Open hihat patterns that goes through a whole track between kick drums... you know... boom tsss boom tsss... are cheesy, too much reverb is cheesy........ there is more but I'll stop now. There are meny tracks that have cheesy elements but I ignore them if there is something else that I like. And sometimes I just surrender to the Power of Cheese... lol... IMHO. Guest Daniel
Actually, I just pulled out my Etnica album and I will take that back I was thinking of something else. I also agree with unikos....I don't consider any of this stuff cheesy but if you have to put a label on the cheesier side of things then like I said Yahel and AP....however I love good melodies...I think Infected has some of the best expecially on their Classical Mushroom LP.....now if you looking for cheesy why don't we discuss Vocal Trance Melodies from the likes of Dance Nation, Ian Van Dahl, Lasgo, Out of Grace etc....so far I haven't heard any truly cheesy tunes in the Psy-Style....I've heard a lot of boring and repetitive songs, not to mention a lot of artists that sound the same but as for cheese goes I haven't ran into any that's caught my attention... I like "Electro Panic"....but your right that sample is kinda stupid
Guest Bahamut
I'll tell you what is cheese: DJ TIESTO - LETHAL INDUSTRY now THAT is cheese!!

Guest phantasmagoria
Yahel - definately Etnica - not a chance Guitars - variable but can be effective ( purple haze! on 6 string) israeli melodies - not always ( astrix) but sometimes and whoever put logic bomb obviously wasne there in samothraki this year where they played the most phenomenal live day time set you can conjure!
